I think we feel strongly because we are educated enough to know how fortunate we are to be an American. Being compassionate people, we actually DO (although dems deny we do) care about the suffering of other people.

I have studied and read so much about what the Jews went through in Poland and Germany in WWII, that I just can't imagine NOT feeling emotional when a group of people experience freedom for the first time.

I wasn't alive in the 40's but it must have been a wonderful sight to see the poor people in the concentration camps set free!

NO!!!! But, you can be sure, at this election, the MSM is NOT on the side of the people,

LOL because I was listening to the BBC earlier today and they kept interviewing Iraqis who weren't going to vote and talking about how it was going to lead to serious splits between the Sunnis and the Shites (can't spell worth a darn!) Nothing but negative, negative, negative. What is it about the liberals? Do they have some pathology that only lets them see the dark side of life? Anyone have a clue? Is there a psychologist in the house?

"...Kerry..he 's on live, tomorrow, with Riussert on MTP..."

Any bets on how many times he will say "This President"?

I read a REUTERS (of all sources) story the other day about the Iraqi election, and one SUNNI (!) said that he wasn't going to be bullied and that a handful of thugs weren't going to run the country or rule over the other 95% of peaceful Iraqis. Then he said this, which told me, without a doubt, we are winning:

"If they kill me, I'll just become a martyr."

Get it? Those resisting the terrorists are now seeing themselves as martyrs to the cause of liberty!!

Does someone want to tell me again how Bush's Inaugural doesn't strike the "mystic chords" with people all around the world??

This is so cool! FOX has exclusive video from the drone that photo'd the perps who fired that RPG at our embassy today. You can see the shooters and the drone camera following them. With these pics they were able to track and capture all the terrorists involved in the incident.

I remember wondering during the D.C. sniper shootings why we couldn't do that.
And here it is...in Baghdad!

My 8 year old son had to report on a current event Friday. He said the reason WhY there is an election in Iraq is to bring a better life, food, jobs, dignity and education to the Iraqui people. I was so excited to be sharing our enthusaism for those people with his classmates.

hoosiermama, thank you for the information.

I think the real winners will be the Iraqi people, the Iraqi soldiers and policemen, and all the other people in the nations that live under tyranny.

We know that our military are the true heroes, but in Iraq, the people there MUST see this as their victory, because they need to know that putting their lives in danger to vote, is a very brave honorable thing to do---not the message that the terrorists are giving them.

Well, aren't they all RATS? Don't rats like dark, dungeony, dirty and infested places? And they're sneaky, too. : )
