It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.

in some ways they have even a larger stake than the men in terms of access to education, equal opportunity, allowing for dissent under a paternalistically dominating Islam, legal protections. they don't want to miss their shot at freedom.

Exit polls indicate some guy named Mohammad is winning. Most people voted for some guy named Mohammad. so, it looks like Mohammad won. The problem will be when 7,000 guys named Mohammad show up saying they were elected....
