I can't sleep even though it's 1:30 am here.

Neither can I because it's thrilling to observe history via the computer, but I'm going to have to force my eyelids shut soon to get 'stuff' done tomorrow. Darn. :o)

THanks Allegra. Please take care and God be with you and all our troops, our allies, the Iraqi security forces and all the Iraqi people seeking to secure freedom.

I'm more excited than nervous. I keep saying I need to go to bed but here I sit typing away with one eye on the tv!

Its a blow to the Democrats and the legacy media. They were hoping for a massive bloodbath. Thousands dead... a population cowering in fear. Completed by the sight of Al Zarqawi's legions of death goosestepping in victory over the crushed skulls of slain infidels and Americans in Baghdad. NOT!!! The news looks great and that's why the Left is in collective mourning as the terrorist insurgents face their Iraqi Waterloo.

I wonder, will Al Jazeera report that Saddam Hussein's vote count is down 100% this time around?

"Let my people go!

Go Iraq...go!

God Bless all the brave men and women who have brought Iraq to this place of Freedom. Let Freedom ring round this whole earth to all people, so that we may all live in peace and well being.

May legions of angels fill Iraq and protect all those who are voting today and who will help make Iraq a successful democratic country in the middle of tyranny so that it may serve as a witness, a safe haven and an agent of peace in the Middle East. Amen

I'm no expert but that looks like a pretty good turnout this early. 30,000 polling places probably means fewer long lines.

Man, can you imagine the chief muckety mucks in those other countries watching this, and their "subjects" mumbling "If THEY can do this...?"

I am supposed to be up six and half hours from now, but have doubts I'll be sleeping more than a couple of hours tonight at most. I don't wish to miss any of this.

Is anyone else as nervous as me? I can't sleep even though it's 1:30 am here.

Elated would be more like it for me.

Oh, I'm definitely elated... but nervous too. I want this elation to last. I don't want anything to ruin it and I'm just waiting until the polling ends so I can exhale and say "It went well". So far, so good... but many hours to go and I don't think I'll be sleeping.

form the DU thread title:
"Wow, FOX/CNN live coverage of the Iraq election is pathetic."

They seem really pissed over there :-D

They are always pissed about everything. They don't know what to do. They hate the fact that President Bush might be right. DUmmies are a joke. ( sick puppies)I am so excited about this election. I can't sleep.
