seriously, how many Americans -- who can't even punch chads- would be out voting in these conditions? Very, very few.

Even CNN is saying turnout is good, including in Sunni areas.

CNN had much better pictures of other polling places in the country, not just Baghdad.......switching back and forth

I agree. They are showing the voters lined up in Sadr City.

The Iraqi holding foisting both thumbs up in utter jubilation was really wonderful to see.

Even CNN is showing Iraqis clapping and dancing at the polling stations.. the reporter is absolutely giddy :)

This is what Bush's objective was...what our guys have been fighting for. This is a great day.

CNN - tempering the exuberance in Baquba with grim reports from Baghdad. Bleah!

Work that remote, friend...switch back to Fox.

What is better... that means Al Jazeera won't have bad stuff to show either... the rest of the Arab world will see this.

I heard the former Ambassador to Morrocco talking about the RPG's earlier today on FNC when the topic of discussion was the explosion at the US Embassy in Baghdad, and he said by the time you spot one in the air, it's oftentimes too late.

Deskguy on CNN is trying to find a reporter who has bad news. Camera swings to lady reporter. They can't hear for all the clapping and jubilation.

Poor deskguy turns report over to another, who is giving negative commentary.

Ha! Sounds like a bad SNL skit.

I can't sleep even though it's 1:30 am here.

Guess I picked the wrong night to give up staying up.

Damn straight!

By the way, I would normally be taping this, but am working instead without cable. If anyone's capturing this, please Freepmail me, and I'll be happy to pay for an extra tape and postage. I want to add this to my living history collection for my son (and me!). Thanks!

This is all so incredible...we all hand a hand in electing the man who had a vision of making this possible.....we each had a small but vital part to help free 50 million people from tyranny
