It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
seriously, how many Americans -- who can't even punch chads- would be out voting in these conditions? Very, very few.
Good. They've been absolutely no help at all.
Even CNN is saying turnout is good, including in Sunni areas.
I agree. They are showing the voters lined up in Sadr City.

I almost feel like I'm on Iraqi time and my body clock is resetting.
Even CNN is showing Iraqis clapping and dancing at the polling stations.. the reporter is absolutely giddy :)
This is what Bush's objective was...what our guys have been fighting for. This is a great day.

Can't sleep here in LA either, but then its only 10. 35 here! This is simply spectaculer news, seeing these long lines of Iraqis voting for the first time. I am so happy for them!!!

I heard the former Ambassador to Morrocco talking about the RPG's earlier today on FNC when the topic of discussion was the explosion at the US Embassy in Baghdad, and he said by the time you spot one in the air, it's oftentimes too late.

This is all so incredible...we all hand a hand in electing the man who had a vision of making this possible.....we each had a small but vital part to help free 50 million people from tyranny
Also same time zone....but I think I'll at least go lay down and rest my head and continue watching...I'm getting a sore computer seat! : )
