Thank you for your post on Julie Carpenter. I'm glad I checked back before going to bed. We certainly are living through historic times when anyone can be a hero in their own special way.

Imagine them hating FDR and cackling with glee that another load of Jews was sent to a death camp? I cannot; just as I cannot imagine their glee with bombs going off now. What despicable souls they have.

Actually, you don't. But if you MUST see Christianna, remeber the mother in Throw Momma From The Train? Okay, now imagine how she looked when she was young. You're almost there.

Great points.
BTW, if you get a chance, tune in to Dr. Bill Wattenberg, one of the only voices of reason you'll find on KGO, online:
http://www.kgo.com.
They stream the programs (and archive them for a week) - and he's talking about the election now. He just said to watch FNC, you'll see the people mobbing into the polling places and voting with pride. On CNN, there's nothing but doom and gloom.
I sent him the picture thread of the Iraqi elections. He's a good guy.

Suicide bomber at a school polling station 303 with bombs straped to his vest, casulties He didn't get in the polling place though. He was stopped by Iraqi forces. No civilian casualties.

10 hours from now, Chalabi will be a part of Iraqi goverment. Someone in the temporary Iraqi goverment was talking about arresting him for libel, which is a typical Arab dictatorship-stlye maneuver. Some of the Iraqi blogs have some pretty caustic comments about about the guy making the accusations against Chalabi...
But I don't know what the facts are!!!!!!!
