Kinda makes Teddy Kennedy seem awfully puny doesn't it Could his timing be any worse?
These images of Iraqi joy and celebration over the election, are all over the media. Even on CNN.
Ted Kennedy's rant is making him look like a very small man about now. That's what I call poetic justice. What a klutz he is.

"Kinda makes Teddy Kennedy seem awfully puny doesn't it" Other than politics, it is probably what all his lady friends say.

Thanks much! The more pictures we get the better. This is fantastic -- so much for the election wasn't going to happen on 30 January! I love it!

Hugh Hewitt was broadcasting from the El Toro (now closed) Base yesterday. There's more pictures and NEAT commentary here, too. Yes, there was a thread up. No. I don't know where! My apologies to the poster of that thread. :)

These are very powerful images. I showed my almost 7 year old son this thread. He knows a bit about the war- and why we are there. He knows that no matter what you show respect for the troops of the United States of America!
He will remember this day at some point I know. He will also remember his mother choking back tears while trying to explain to him what this is all about-and why those people were crying- if they were happy.
God bless President Bush and our amazing troops and allies. Godspeed to them all, including the free and good people of Iraq. I will never forget these images.

We have just given the greatest gift one man can give to another. There is no selfless act more divine than giving ones life for another mans freedom. God is smiling, and proud of us today. The fallen soldiers that have given everything so that this gift is possible are being greeted with open arms as they pass through heavens gate for there is a special place reserved for their arrival. What is this lump in my throat? Beautifully written post, traderrob.

If you'll look at Yahoo news photos they have pictures from many locations showing the voting... Can you imagine have an opportunity to got to a polling station in France, Iran, many other countries or even the various states here to cast a ballot for an election in your home country. I know we have absentee ballots one can request and return but to physically go to a voting booth is very different.
