Geez...unless your trying to be sarcastic you are a real moron....

You cannot protect 100% against random terrorist actions.....

You have obviously never served or been in a combat zone....

I'm not sure just why we don't hear reports of the Iraqis having a strong network of vigilantes who, via Kalashnikov, would persuade insurgents to cease their obstruction of the fledgling democracy.

Shhh.

"It had nothing to do with LBJ buying into anything - it was the American public. If you remember, public opinion got so bad that LBJ declined to run for reelection in 1968.

I'm not sure that what you are saying is correct. If so I don't think Nixon wouldn't have won in 68 and 72.

Oh that's okay, he can probably find something to take his mind off this situation. The good guys ARE winning.

SO you're saying that "insurgent" is synonymous with "target".

He's sent a clear signal that the US will cut and run if he, the Democrats, and the media have anything to say about it, leaving any Iraqi US supporters to their fate with the terrorists.

Yep, and many of those terrorists are linked to Syria and Iran, outlaw states that we certainly don't want to embolden. You have to remember, Kennedy thinks that cutting and running is a good strategy. After all, it worked for him at Chappaquidick.

Could be because the media never leaves their hotels, don't speak the language, and have a "template", which is: cover all insurgent violence and NOTHING else.

This enables the terrorists every day, just look at today, one rocket into the green zone, WOW headlines for the LA % NY Slimes and talking points for their DUmbocrat allies.

I'm referring to 1968. LBJ's VP, Hubert Humphrey was the Democrat nominee. I can still hear the demonstrators chanting "Dump the Hump, Dump the Hump". These were Democrats.

Nixon campaigned on having a "secret plan to end the war". He was subjected to endless ridicule after he was elected and nothing changed in Vietnam.

Tomorrow will be the big day. I like how the MSM is already spinning it so no amount of success will be taken as a Bush win.

Hang in there. Maryland, which is almost as liberal as Massachusetts, somehow managed to elect a Republican governor who, if you'll recall, beat Kathleen Kennedy Townsend in 2002. Miracles do happen.

No more pictures, please!!! :)

How much patience should our soldiers use when the murderous thugs are captured? still have to leave the kid gloves on because the msm will be there to make sure the poor killers are not "abused"

It would be rather comical, if it wasn't so important to around 25 million free Iraqis that this turn out well. Only demon posessed (well almost) people could do what the media has dedicated itself to do with regard to this election.

Pitiful.

That's it, we lose.

Time to accept a ride home across the bridge with "steady" Teddy.

Things did change.

Nixon took the fight to the North. We won the war in 1972 when the North signed the peace treaty...then we lost it two years later when they violated the agreement and invaded the south. We were in a draw down mode and accellerated it, walking away from our commitment. The results and the impact on what other nations thought of us lingered even through the Reagan years up until the first Desert Storm.

The notion that the anti-war movement made us leave is ka-ka IMHO, where I lived (in Texas) there was avid support. The media and libs made a huge deal out of it, and like today, sought at every opportunity to subvert the effort, using in a few places to make it look like the whole. And the other politicians ran for cover IMHO. Nixon didn't do too bad in the fighting...he bombed the North into submission.

In Bush the media and libs are up against some one who will not turn tail on this particular issue IMHO.

The terrorists have had a long time to plan for this.

Same amount of time as we have had...and I believe our folks are the better planners and strategists.

Bump to the Top.
