"Fox News reporting exclusively that the 3 guys who launched the rocket have been CAPTURED! Yippeeeee!!!"

Bad news for the trollish third partiests parroting Teddy's talking points on this thread.

Nixon won a landslide victory in 1972

I was in my twenties and I seem to recall that Nixon won for two primary reasons: 1. He promised to end the war by winning and to bring the troops home as a result of the 'win', and 2. McGovern was a very weak Dem candidate (yes, as a young, liberal person I actually campaigned for McGovern...live and learn). Anyway, those were extraordinary and high-tension times and McGovern was very, very under-capitalized because he was just too 'hokey' for the East Coast Dems. About all he had actively campaigning for him were young people. In fact, I vividly recall attending the rally in San Francisco where Willy Brown was a key player in raising money from the crowd. Seems like a million years ago (and it was).

It's almost unreal. Do you think we need a LIVE thread for ongoing events and coverage today? This thread would make a good one.

Go Allawi!!!

"I know, our inept military hasn't. I can't believe we have gotten this far against these geniuses since we are so f$%6ed up."

List exactly how and why our military is inept and "f$%6ed" in your expert opinion. Give examples.

Apoligies or Apologies not given. LOL

I think Walter's contribution has been greatly exaggerated.

"Some sarcasm needs no tag."

Obviously it does. Ignore my post demanding explanation and please accept my apology.

"I think Walter's contribution has been greatly exaggerated."

That could be but I remember very vividly his hate-filled broadcasts.

Yes, I was really surprised there wasnt an Iraqi election thread ongoing. No news could be bigger. And nothing else matters right now to me. Its good to see so many as excited as I am, and who can articulate it better.

Im going to lecture my daughters tonight on what it means for Iraqis to vote, and what sacrifices our young men and women have made to free 25 million people.

The only difference between Teddy Kennedy and Billy Carter ...
Amen to that! I actually had the thought cross my mind that it is going to be awfully hard to experience the full-blown state funeral they'll probably have to give that traitor Carter when he goes to his final reward. I am, shall we say, 'older', so I remember vividly the permanent damage Carter did to our country by destroying the economy. Don't get me started.....

We are under the rule of Teddy until his liver gives out.

Maybe we could start a campaign to send bottles of
cheap booze to his office!

I guess they had some more hanging around in the safe house they busted. Maybe some good intel was seized too.
