Speaking to a capacity crowd at a The French Were Right rally, Senator Ted Kennedy (D - MA) pronounced the effort in Iraq "failed," "a quagmire," "bad form," "tacky," "really embarrassing," "stubborn," "coyote ugly," "like waking up after a four-year binge and believe you me, I know," and "just plain buck-toothed stupid."
Each of these comments was punctuated by a standing ovation by the crowd, which had already been enlivened by an arms-dropping exercise led by the opening speaker, Senator John Kerry. "You go, Teddy!" cried one attendant. Many "Kennedy/Boxer '07" signs were held aloft by people wearing "Math Is For Fundamentalists!" T-shirts.
"There's only one thing to do when you get yourself in a bind, Mr. Bush," said Kennedy. The audience craned their heads around, to see if Bush were in attendance. (He was, at the time, at his ranch in Crawford, barbecuing ribs for a group of Iraqi children liberated by American troops.)
"Just one thing to do," Kennedy thundered. "Just get out of the car, and swim away, Mr. Bush! Get out of the car! Swim away!"
These remarks were taken up by the crowd, who chanted them for the next five minutes, led by Mr. Kennedy until his face got red and he had to sit down.
A passer-by asked one of the chanters whether the irony wasn't overwhelming. (He is in the hospital, expected to make an almost full recovery.)
"'Irony'? What was he even talking about?" puzzled Francoise deBleauvier, an organizer of the meeting.
Kennedy is running on empty.
He's a joke.
LOL -- "And don't wait around for somebody to report Iraq as missing!"
Oh man, I wasn't sure at first. I thought how sick, then how funny! Very good!!!
Ted "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy is at the wheel of the Democratic Oldsmobile.
Wearing a throw-away neck brace and accompanied by a throw-away wife...
Don't be surprised if he actually says this.
The one thing about the left -- once they beat a charge, they love to rub your nose in it.
I SWEAR this is exactly what came into my mind also!!
"The people of Massachusetts continue to keep Kennedy in the Senate, where he has long been a liberal pinup boy."
Thank God I live in Virginia. No wonder people are fleeing Mass. in mass. What are the voters in that state drinking?
I like your tagline. I just found that info out a few weeks ago at the International Spy Museum in D.C.
Thanks!
I think it's great - mind if I copy and paste it to friends in the office?
Whyyyyy not?

I hope you're right. I reconsidered moving to Oregon primarily because of the loopy state policy. I would love to live there, if it weren't for the ridiculous environmental regulations promulgated by the legislature, not to mention the complete disregard for rural areas (except as terrariums for the cityfolk). On top of that include the socialist social policies, and Oregon goes from pioneer/frontier state (sort of a wet version of Texas) to a copy of the Bay State. Put in more reasonable regulations that don't close off all access to non-urban areas, and land and housing prices will come down to more reasonable levels.
Now, if they could only do something about those volcanoes...
Ping-splash!
