What do the recent polls in Georgia say?

Do voters like the new flag?

Or do they want a chance to vote upon which design they want as their state flag?

Anyone?

Most people in Georgia are tired of these clowns and wish they would get a life. The horse is dead, and it's time to stop beating it.

I liked the old battle flag version of the GA state flag, but the new one is even better; it is, quite possibly, the handsomest state flag in the US. As long as we don't go back to the "don't offend anyone" ugly blue flag I am happy.

Frankly, except for a few die-hards, I don't think this is an issue.

Most like it. Only the flagers do not. Of course their flag divides Georgia. State flags are suppose to unite, and not divide.

In my area, it seems like people still resent being denied a vote.

Having been born, raised, and still living in Georgia after almost 40 years, I for one like the present flag. I have Confederate soldier descendants, and am very proud of my heritage. I have been to Sons of Confederate Veterans meetings. I know some that are deadset on changing back to the '56 flag.

There are many other more important issues for us to deal with in Georgia, and I wish that these 'flagnuts' would go away. When people find out that I am a 'War between the States' buff, they always think that I also am for changing the flag. Not all of us chew tobacco and do the 'hambone'.

No one I know cares about the flag.

It's so unimportant you almost never see one in someone's yard, or even on their car in the form of a bumper sticker.

There are just some losers who have made it a single issue, and would vote Governor Sonny Purdue out of office over it. I think that the flag issue is fueled primarily by liberals who want to drive a wedge in the republican vote.
