What do the recent polls in Georgia say?
Do voters like the new flag?
Or do they want a chance to vote upon which design they want as their state flag?
Anyone?

Most people in Georgia are tired of these clowns and wish they would get a life. The horse is dead, and it's time to stop beating it.

In other words...you're saying that many Georgians don't care about the flag issue anymore?

the horse is dead.........

Why don't you let the people of georgia vote on this flag if the issue is really dead?
The truth is since you hate the south to much you don't want them to have that chance.

Theres alot in store for 2006 and south hating liberals like yourself are in for a long night, i'm afraid.

I liked the old battle flag version of the GA state flag, but the new one is even better; it is, quite possibly, the handsomest state flag in the US. As long as we don't go back to the "don't offend anyone" ugly blue flag I am happy.
Frankly, except for a few die-hards, I don't think this is an issue.

Its not an issue? Though not true its not a BIG issue currently, because it hasn't made it into one yet..
We are waiting until the liar perdue's re-election campaign starts up. Then you will see some action.
Tempers can be flared at any time.

By some, but in the spirit of No name calling week"....
Think about it for a minute, without this as an issue, this group would cease to exist. They would lose the ability to raise money, and whatever they think they have in political power will be gone. There are many more important issues to deal with, some that will make a difference to the people in Georgia.

Son, If you had a clue what being Southern was all about, I would take the time to debate you. As it stands, however, you are a lost cause.

Personally, I liked the old flag, but the new flag is just fine. But this is what happens when you don't allow the people to vote and this is what happens when you tell them that they will be able to vote and then don't let them. This could have been easily avoided with a vote.

lol, okay sweetheart. you are a pathedic soul who has no respect for principle, if you did, I would debate you.
Also, you won't debate me because I would win. You stand on lilly pad correctness - and I stand on principle therefore, you will lose every time.

The problem is, that the powers that be did not trust the people to choose the politically correct option, so they maneuvered it into situation where the people would just not get a choice. What they got was the flag they wanted, and an endless controversy instead of whatever the people's choice was.

That is my point. I would not care if this flag was voted down because it was the people of georgia that did it. But trying to suppress the will of the people in the name of political correctness?
That is liberalism at its extreme, and there are alot of 'conservatives' on this site who favor it.
