What else do you expect from a RINO who supported the transportation tax referendum and is himself a Tom Davis clone.
Who else is running?
The car tax cut is not a tax cut. It's a spending item. A cut in the income tax or the sales tax would be a tax cut.
that's right - since the tax goes to local governments, the "cut" in the tax is essentially an increase in the state subsidy to the local governments.
LOL! Or to qualify for it!
Senator Bill Bolling is the conservative choice for Lt. Gov.
http://www.billbolling.com
did you know they placed a tax on car insurance premiums as a back door to a car tax...repeal both taxes now
I've got a petition for him (Bolling)to get on the primary ballot sitting on my kitchen table. Will be knocking on my neighbors this weekend.
Bolling seems like a good man to me.
LOL! Make that "...knocking on my neighbors' doors..."
Do your taxes go down? Yes. Makes it a tax cut in my book, even if it's on behalf of local governments. Hell, the local govts can tax cars themselves if they want to, no? Ain't that how it usually works?
Bolling is definitely my pick for the Lt Gov nomination. He's pro-life, pro-RKBA, and supports lower taxes.
There sure was a lot of mail from both those guys. Best I can tell, they're both RINOs when it comes to taxes. Please correct me if this is not true: Virginia politicians are completely out of control, in BOTH parties!
What was Bolling's stand on Real Estate tax increases? telephone taxes, elecricity and natural gas? I doubt I'll vote for either of these guys.
Virginia Society for Human Life endorsed Kilgore, Bolling and McDonnell for the Gov/Lt. Gov/Atty Genl races.
Connoughton is endorsed by liberal Republican Tom Davis, the VEA teacher's union and backstabber Russell Potts....3 good reasons to support BOLLING for Lt. Gov.
Awful early to say "yes", it seems to me. If your county car tax goes down, but the state makes up for it with an extra penny on the sales tax or extra nickel on the gas tax, do your taxes really go down? No, which doesn't make it a tax cut in my book.
Of COURSE if you raise taxes to offset a tax cut it isn't a tax cut overall. But that's neither here nor there. What if they ..... eliminated the car tax and then cut the sales tax? That would be an even bigger tax cut.
The rednecks hated the car tax because it was one of the few they had to pay. That's why it was popular to cut it.
Sounds like a good reason to me. I'm all for taxing fewer things.
The state bravely cut a tax that didn't belong to them. That's why it was a spending item. They weren't manly enough to cut the income tax like they should.
