I never really understood the whole concept of the candlelight vigil. What is its point exactly?
You might very well be religious, but you are NOT a Christian, so I wasn't taling about you.
Who says I'm not a Christian? I enjoyed a fine Jesuit education.
Hell if i know. You're asking the wrong person.
taling=talking
Whatever.
Brilliant response. I'm sorry, tell me how my concerns about the deeply flawed process is perverting the word of the Lord. Please.
You want me to cite some scripture, too? I can do that. What about the Sermon on the Mount--you know, pretty much the foundation of the Christian faith. What does Christ say there?
Matthew 5:38-39
Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, that ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Satan will work the people against God's Word from all angles, and evidently, quite successfully, with so many "candle vigilantes" doing their pro-abortion, anti-death penalty, anti-Christian, pro-queer, etc. thing.
AMEN, a THOUSAND times!!!!!!!!!!
That turning the other cheek is not a command to be a doormat, it's pertaining to being attacked for your faith.
I can't pretend to know anything about your Jesuit education, so I can only say they either teach confusion, or didn't get through to you.
No amount of Scripture quoting will help you, because some of the Verses have already been pointed out by Rodney King in post 4. You want to dispute that all Scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
I'll pray for you.
I bet there is real good money in the public protesting of criminal justice. There are contributions, publicity and, maybe, a movie script involved. There must be little profit in a vigil honoring the killer's victims because, afterall, they deserved what they got. No, it is a vigil honoring the criminal that brings major returns, psychic and material, to these idiots.
Right. And I suppose the part about not judging really means to judge everyone, right?
I must have missed that day when class when the Jesuits talked about that footnote that Christ dropped in the Sermon on the Mount that says "Oh, all of this only applies to people that attack your belief in God."
It's good that you're praying, though. I only hope that you're also praying for the fellow that was executed, too. Matthew 5:43-48.
We aren't doing the same thing they did.
With all due respect to these ladies, WHAT ABOUT HOLDING A VIGIL FOR THE VICTIMS OF THESE MONSTERS? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am tired of this stuff !
We leave it to the court to judge.
I think you probably missed a lot of days.
You're all wet, or the Jesuits are all wet and taught you that state or federal matters are what Jesus was talking about there. The way you go about using this Scripture, no one should ever be charged with any crimes.
I am convinced there is no getting through to you without the guidance of the Holy Spirit knocking you upside your head, so this will be my last response to you.
Good night.
