Yes folks, I know it's a couple of hours away, but for you loyal C-Span listeners, the debate will be carried live on C-Span 2 today. Live streaming on C-Span 2's server for those of you with high bandwidth carriers.
Box-o-Rox has asked for a full hour in which to call Dr. Rice a lying slut. Meantime, the senior Senator from the state of West Virginia has brought some friends of his down to testify to Rice's unfitness for her office:
Other Dhimmis have asked for time to object to Dr. Rice as well. Meantime, I wonder if McCain or Hagel will actually rise to her defense?
(...sound of crickets...)
Arlen Specter? Anybody?
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Kennedy and Levin are no surprise but Bayh was. Salazar says he'll vote for Condi.
Salazar does note that he perceives a lack of candor to the troops and the citizens and he would like to see the administration be more forthcoming and truthful (but he does not come close to calling them liars as some of his colleagues have).
It looks like it is coming up on HBO signature on 1/28 and 2/1

Yes.
Hillary/Boxer/DNC havent gotten their hands into Salazar's re-election campaign coffers yet, good for him.
Bayh must be running in '08.
Pity.
Were you there? If so, tell us more!
Dick Cheney can pack more punch into a single word or sentence and a look than any human being I've seen. I thought Edwards might just be frozen in place during that point in the VP debate. Anybody who couldn't see that Cheney was seething isn't very good at reading body language.
I'll bet when Cheney gets mad, he doesn't forget and he watches and waits until he can exact revenge. Like you, I would really hate to be on that man's s*#t list.
Are they still alternating debate between both sides, it seems like Lugar is doing most of the talking..
I do not agree with all Sen. Salazar is saying...he claims the war in Iraq was presented as it would be over in weeks and so on, BUT, his tone and rhetoric are such that the dem party would do well to take note of and emulate, IMO.
Salazar was not too bad. It sounded more like loyal opposition than anything else I've heard.
If you didn't, do NOT miss it!

Like hundreds of other exchange students living in Hamburg, Germany in the 1990s, Muhammad Atta, Ziad Jarrah and Marwan al-Shehhi were quiet, orderly tenants who never drew attention to themselves. But on September 11, 2001, they became part of the worst attack ever waged on U.S. soil. This daring drama sheds light on these young Islamic men who were transformed into Al Qaeda killers while in Hamburg--and who would eventually enact the diabolical plan that destroyed the Twin Towers. This semi-fictionalized dramatic account stars Karim Saleh, Kamel, Agni Tsangaridou and Omar Berdouni. Directed by Antonia Bird; written by Ronan Bennett and Alice Pearman. Break now until 2:15 eastern.
And thanks for finding that; I was looking for it and couldn't remember WHERE I saw it.
Lugar enquires about time-- GOP has 3:39 of debate left, Dems have 3:35.. Senate stands in recess until 2:15 PM Eastern
And trying to take over here on FR. I'm stunned by the number of "visits" some of the DU types have made to FR today. Disrupting threads with their usual brilliant dialog.....like FU. I suppose we should be glad they have such a limited vocabulary....and such limited minds.
No, not exactly. Had maybe 3 dems in a row. Lugar just gets up to intro people and make little organizational comments.
will any Republican not just recite Dr. Rice's qualifications, but refute the charges being laid against her by Teddy, Levin, et al? I sure hope one of them has the guts to call them to the carpet!!
Really? And here I've kept myself on this thread. Well, time to mosey around. LOL
Id like to see Brownback or Santorum get up there and start blasting some libs this afternoon.
I've been troll hunting. It's so much more fun than watching these hateful racist Dems trying to slash and burn Condi......
