PROM princess or porn queen?
This prom dress is so skimpy, even the designer's CEO wouldn't let his teenage daughter wear it. But the dangerously revealing gown, prominently advertised in Seventeen Prom, YM Prom and Teen Prom, and on sale in a Midtown shop, is a top seller for the company this season.
"I was shocked when I first saw it, but now it's one of our top 20 dresses nationwide," says Nick Yeh, the CEO of Xcite, the Stafford, Texas, company that designed the dress and some 200 other styles this season.
"I have a 15-year-old daughter and, no, I would not recommend she wear this dress.
"As a businessman," he adds, "I'm not judging what a teenager should wear or not wear. It's up to the parents to decide for their own children."
In fact, some shops in smaller cities require girls to bring in parental permission slips to buy the dress, Yeh told The Post.
At Elite Designs, a formal shop in Midtown that has the barely-there gown on a mannequin, owner Surinder Nagpal says, "We've gotten a few calls about that dress. Originally, I wasn't going to stock [it], but my sales associate told me that girls would want it, so we're stocking it in black and red."
So far, says Helen Rodriguez, Nagpal's sales associate, no one has bought the $495 gown - but it just arrived.

OT: Bishop - I am impressed. My father was one also.
Just letting you know that I understand what you are talking about, and why.
Well, well, well...could you wear it today?
I think it was a joke.
I hope.
Agree.
But, for a list of nefarious reasons,
I haven't seen many gentlemen being produced by many good homes in recent years.
Like the last 30?
bttt
I admit that a counselor tends to see a slanted population.
However, just observing in the average church . . . and other groups . . .
I really haven't seen many gentlemen.
However, many younger guys seem surprisingly often, to be more gentlemen than their fathers. Odd, that.
I think it's a very serious sign of the degredation of our culture.
THX.
The laws of human nature dictate that any young woman going to prom wearing this dress will have every boy at the dance thinking of ways to get her into bed.
Could someone please tell me what ever happened to the "girl next door" type? You know, the girl that got a guy's attention with her smile, brains, and charm than any article of clothing could ever hope to match?
If such a wonderful creature exists anymore, could someone kindly point her in my direction? ;)
We're out there :)
The idea of raising kids in our current culture
sometimes
causes me to break out in a sweat for those who have to do it.
sort of.
Now I'm confused by what this post meant.
A wise woman has total control over the men in her life. If she demands gentlemen be around her, then that is what she will find.
That is the honest truth, and if a woman has not found that in her life, she must take a very serious look at herself.
The exact same thing applies to men. If you do not demand that the lady you are with act as a lady, she will not be.
You are responsible for your actions, and sometimes that includes the type of people you associate with.
Sure, but only for Halloween.
Abundant truth in what you say.
I've seen it both directions.
THX.
Yes, it was a joke. I admitted that a little later in the thread.....before the BIG HAIR photo.
Just goes to show how little they are teaching the kids these days. She has the dang dress on backwards. Sheez.
I checked your Freeper background. I was trying to say "thanks" without directing attention towards you by others.
Perhaps that comment should have been by private Freeper Mail.
However, back to the primary subject: Teen age girls!
Ahhh THX blush.
That's the least sexy dress I've ever seen.
