Yup, you got it! Fall is my favorite season also.
My husband is a Californian (who migrated back east) who has never experienced the pleasure of a "snow day" from school!

I'll just have to open the freezer door, and stare in envy. LOL... I have to admit that's pretty funny! ;-D

It was in the 60's here also, perfect day to go out and ride horses or just about anything --- kind of makes me feel guilty looking at the snow covered house picture --- I didn't know there was a blizzard going on somewhere.

Yes - That cold is seared into my memory and you can see that these VC Hooches are right on the river bank where I used to beach my Swift Boat after running out of torpedoes and stalk them on my belly with my trusty double barreled deer shotgun.

Birds? are there any left? Plenty of blue jays trying to crack through the ice to get to their feeder on my deck.

That is salt spray. I was checking the NOAA buoys during the storm and the wind and surf was huge.

I was stuck in work for two days in Boston, the winds were unbelievable, they blew the sandbags off of the roof vents in the turbine hall and the covering off of the roof fans in an older section of the building.
I couldn't send my operators outside to check transformers and pumps for about 12 hours the drifts were eight feet high in places. The city did a passable job, for a change, in clearing the roads as did the state, shocked.
