"I wish we had that here (Wash) just once"I don't...we had an ice storm through Pierce county in 96 back when I was still on the line...took down half our distribution.
I spent 6 weeks of 16 hour days(average) cussin' ice, and that was only little more than half an inch, current temp 55, thank you very much.

and the Crips and bloods are selling crack on the corners...... They may be, but it may as well be in Detroit, since it's no where near me.
Plus, while I love warm weather, snow issss fun and beautiful. My son and I made an igloo..
Snow is fun? Only in post cards. Only place I want to see ice, is in my Margarita.
Cheers!

My brother was stationed on the DEW line when he was in the USAF. Most of the year they couldn't see out of most the windows. They actually had someone go round the bend. Last seen the guy was running off into the woods never to be seen again.

There's no way I could decorate the Christmas tree and listen to "Winter Wonderland" and "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow" while people are walking around in shorts and swimming. That would profoundly depress me.Uh.....OOK.

69 degrees straight up right now at 351 p.m. Party cloudy, nice pacific breeze. And people think were crazy to live in Cal. Hehe. Good luck with the weather.
Tell it to the guy who lost has whole family in the mudlides last week.
That was unfortunate, but everywhere has their problems. Me? I'll hang tough with California weather thanks!
I've been cold and lived in frigid weather, gone through long winters in the military etc.
And as I get older, I would hate that even more. Never, ever again.
Good luck my friend.

A friend of mine (acquaintance actually) lived in one of those so called luxury condos for years. She hated it there, and told me a nbr of horror stories.
Personally, based on her words, I will never ever even consider buying a condo.

Sorry for your troubles. What you said about what your wife did, sounds like something I might have done. We have always had to check the garage door to be sure it stays closed. We always have trouble with it in cold weather. But a mistake like that is something I might do. I hope things work out for you.
We went through a blizzard back in 78 and I won't go into the details but we had lots of troubles with frozen pipes. Three inches of water on the kitchen floor and trying to clean it up with a small baby in the house. Hope the rest of your winter gets better.

South shore guy here.
I have friends and family on the north shore, but I never took to it, although I have lived there briefly on a few occasions.
