Back in the big blackout that plant was one of the first to go offline. At the time, I raised the issue of the utility utilizing wireless laptops to do at least some control functions and the possibility that AQ might figure something out. I suppose the possibility that an intentional glitch at Fermi being the cause of the blackout was mostly discounted, but my concern about op sec stands.

They (the Nuclear plants) are DESIGNED to go off line with the loss the AC power from the grid ...

The way you described it, you sound like CBSNBCABCCNN and the AP in that this was abnormnal and unplanned!
