I see it's Michigan. We have a Monroe and Wayne County right next to Rochester, NY, but our nuclear plant is Ginna.

Let's see. Michigan? Largest expatriate Muslim population in the country? Recent announcement on Islamist web sites that the 'well laid plans' are coming to fruition? NJ Coptic family slaughtered for revealing Muslim repression of Egyptian Christians? Nah...couldn't be...could it?

A "situation" could be anything from an equipment malfunction to a fight between employees.

WXYZ update:
State and county safety officials were called to the Fermi II nuclear plant in Monroe early Monday evening to investigate a coolant leak situation.
Michigan, Wayne and Monroe County authorities responded to what they called a "situation" within the plant around 6:00 p.m.
Minutes later, DTE officials confirmed that there were indications that there had been a leak of reactor coolant into the containment area. There were no evacuations at the plant, and there were no signs of any release of radiation.

Weird coincidence at Fermilab research facility reported by Chicago newspaper today. While the post is about the nuke it seems, it is strange that the similarly-named lab would have news today also. SCADA?
Fermilab re-opening to the general public
As of today, January 24, 2005, visitors again will be able to drop in on Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. --snip--
"There are no weapons programs or highly sensitive research programs at Fermilab that would make the facility stand out for a high-profile terrorist attack, he said. But caution is still justified: "We are a government laboratory, and any government institution could be a target."
