LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's former campaign finance director pleaded not guilty Monday to federal charges he deliberately underreported the amount raised at a Hollywood gala for the senator in 2000.

David Rosen, 40, of Chicago was released for a trial March 22 in Los Angeles. But his attorney, Paul Mark Sandler, said he planned to ask that the case be moved to Washington.

Rosen is charged with four counts of filing false reports with the Federal Election Commission. Each count carries up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

Sandler said after the hearing that Rosen "looks forward to his day in court to get this matter behind him."

Brilliant strategy. Where better to try a case of political corruption than in a place where its accepted as normal and assumed as a given.

David Rosen, 40, of Chicago was released for a trial March 22 in Los Angeles

Leaving the building, 3 bullets whizzed past him and into a mirror. His automobile erupted in flames a moment before he got in. His cab was hit by an oncoming truck, 2 bullets, an unidentified automobile, and an unexploded anthrax packet. It was finally destroyed by a train moments after Mr. Rosen paid the tab and left it. Walking home, he successfully avoided attacks by wolves, an enraged elephant, 2 grizzly bears, and 3 Girlscouts trying to collect on an unpaid cookie debt. A series of flashes, explosions, and electrical shorts were heard emanating from his home. And his milk expired 5 days ago.

"...planned to ask that the case be moved to Washington."

Where the courts are stacked with i42 appointees, and the jury pool is all rats.

As Rush jested once, they'll find him with 14 bullet holes and a suicide note pinned to his chest. LOL...

I look forward to his day in court, too.

I hope Rosen has been in a chatty mood lately.

He can try, but the fundraiser was held in California and I'm sure that's where it will stay.

Are we talking "Arkancide" or "fostercide?" Jim MacDougal was murdered in the federal prision in Fort Worth but the paper work says, I believe, "death by natural causes." When his meds were withheld and he died from the diseases those meds were designed to prevent, I guess that's natural causes.

So, if Hillie's accomplice dies (1) in his garage from carbon monoxide poisoning from a car that never had gasoline in it, it's "fostercide." If he dies (2) while in custody from natural causes, it's "Arkancide." And, if he tells the truth about Hillie, then, loop back to (1) or (2).

Maybe he hopes to try and drag Hillary and other DemonRATS into the case in the hopes of getting his client off?

How Hillary's money man was nailed for L.A. gala

WASHINGTON – The indictment of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s former Senate campaign finance chairman, David Rosen, on campaign finance charges was made possible by the cooperation of Judicial Watch client Peter Paul, the public interest watchdog group said today.

Paul, a former Hollywood Internet entrepreneur and partner of "Spiderman" creator Stan Lee, spent nearly $2 million to produce the August 2000 Hollywood tribute to honor President Clinton and to help raise funds for Hillary Clinton’s 2000 U.S. Senate campaign – the event at the center of the indictment. ...

For all those who might not know .. "entering a plea" is what the defendant does after he's been charged with a crime. Entering a plea of "not guilty" does not mean the person is saying they're not guilty.

The plea only means one thing: if you enter a plea of guilty - you appear before the judge and he administers judgment. If you enter a plea of not guilty - you have a trial before 12 members of a jury.

That's all it means. This guy is just going to take his chances with a jury - probably in hopes he can lie his way out of any real jail time.
