Are they Democrats, or are they Democratic?

If they had been Republican activists and had slashed Democratic tires outside Columbus....

Seems to me this is the only documented case I have seen of attempts to suppress votes as john fonda kerry was talking about the other day.

I really doubt any real punishment will be given out in this one. I expect more of a "Tsk! Tsk!" from the judge than anything else.

Geeze People! Give these guys a break... After all, they were only trying to prevent the Republicans from disenfranchising people, and it would have worked too. "If it weren't for you kids and your dog..." /sarc.

If the judge lets them off with a hand slap, I think the owners of the vehicles should sue for damages. Let the system let them off from that. Ha!

It's about time! Now I hope that when they are convicted they will be given more than a slap on the wrist.

One witness told investigators the five defendants, dressed in "Mission Impossible" type gear, black outfits and knit caps, left the Democratic Party headquarters at about 3 a.m. on Nov. 2, and returned about 20 minutes later, extremely excited and talking about how they had slashed the tires.
*SNIP*
Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesman Seth Boffeli said the five were paid employees of John Kerry's presidential campaign, but were not acting on behalf of the campaign or party. "Should you or any of your IM force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. Good luck, Jim." "This is not something we engage in, or encourage. We had to make it clear that this is something these individuals were doing on their own," Boffeli said.
