Fox News Network has become a favorite target of leftists these days, who, in all their impotent rage, like to ascribe various sinister motives to what they see as a staunchly conservative news channel. An entire documentary, Outfoxed, has been devoted to the idea that Fox News is part of a right-wing cabal to control the country. The left is particularly fond of mocking Fox

Fox news Channel is like CNN or MSNBC as opposed to ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox..Fox News Network just has more Conservatives on it..but it does give both sides on O'Reilly and Hannity and Colmes..a roundtable on Brit Hume's Nightly show on Fox news has both dems and Republicans as does the Sunday Morning Show on regular Fox...later broadcast on Fox News cable in the afternoon..
Watching Brit's part of the Inauguration was great..I did not bother with networks..I switched to CSPan when the "pundits" came on and interrupted..
I haven't watched the alphabet network nightly news in years.

I agree 100%--- " - Brit Hume is superior to any other-" And I watch 95% Fox and the rest Scarbourough and C-SPAN

"There is the mute button when the looney left goes nuts on a show." -- But I do hate to have to use it - it seems the left are so loud mouthed, but in and hog the mike.

After the Inauguration I've hardly watched - so much dissing the speech, the failing election on the 30th. I wish they had shown their disgust for the dems at Dr. Rice's hearing. The others showed their glee.

It is the best we have tho ----. And Rush, thank goodness!!!

So, basically the cable station has more guys sitting around a table yelling at each other?

The best the weekend Fox show has ever been was today when they were out fooling around in the snow..I actually watched..Usually I don't.It is really lightweight and lib Julian leaves me cold.

Talking about Fox on weekends, this bunch who has the Fox and Friends weekend addition is the silliest bunch of folks I have ever seen, they really take it to a new low.

As a whole, I think Fox is more suitable for watching than all the others put together. They do have a few 'guest' that hack me off.

There's a reason that America doesn't have banner-waving, overtly partisan mass media.

We've tried this before, stretching back to the debate over whether or not to ratify the U.S. Constitution, through the scourge of "yellow journalism", up until the most recent debacle that is Air America.

This is an essentially European concept, which has no place in the United States.

Citizens here want their truth unvarnished by any one specific ideological cant.

FoxNews weekends are becoming too tabloid.

Agreed.

No, they do that on Hannity and Colmes but not the Brit Hume hour..Haven't you ever watched Fox Sunday Morning Show on regular Fox? It comes on here at 8 am CST. Chris Wallace is the host and a lot of grumbling went on when Tony Snow left to do radio...Even Chris has been known to give Juan Williams a sly comeuppance..Brit is the master, Bll Kristol steps in to correct Juan when Brit is absent.
Ceci sets my teeth on edge with her lib pursed lips statements. They don't yell..and if one(usually Juan) gets carried away..someone usually steps in.

They have on Krauthammer, Barone , Fred Barnes, Mort Kondrake, Mara Liason, Ceci Connelly, others..varies.

I just wish someone would start a thread on the Fox and Friends weekend addition. It would be interesting to get a feel on what they think of their show.

I don't watch a lot of TV when at home. When traveling I'll turn on the hotel TV, but generally have no clear idea what I'm watching. Last thing I saw on television worth watching was on PBS, a show on physics...

p.s. I like Charlie Rose, too. At least when he has non-showbusiness people on.

Interesting article.

IMHO the "news" programs, regardless of which network, broadcast with an agenda. I accept the condition and adjust my viewing habits accordingly.

IOW, I seldom watch a all.

i always wonder why the right has such a need to eat its own. we take such pride in ripping to shreds even our own, in some ridiculous sense of being "objective" ourselves.

i LIKE the fact that the nation has its absurdly over the top korns and katrinas out there talking, because it becomes painfully obvious how specious they are. i LIKE the fact that the other side is always presented; unlike cnn, you get the arguments clearly from both sides.

at cnn, on a five person panel, you can guarantee you won't see more than 2 conservatives to 3 liberals--sometimes only 1 to 4....imo, this is indicative of the fragility of the left's arguments but it is also indicative of the overbearing hubris of their sense of superiority.

in short, fox rocks.

Someone with a sacrificial spirit would have to post it, watch it and give a running report. ;)

I have to agree with much of this article. About the only shows I'll watch on Fox News any more are Brit's and Neil's. Outside of War Stories, the Fox Weekends are completely unwatchable. They pretty much always have been, to be honest.

Rhetorical question here : how can a news outlet be accused of being too fair and too balanced ? Or is the Pravda back in vogue ?

We need a one-sided news outlet for the non-left. Why present that hooey at all ??
