#2 of 3?
No doubt at all Johnny Carson would have had a quip for this development!
18.5 minutes of fame vs the normal 15........
Prayers for her family....
When did Bush and Condi Rice know? And do they have the missing audiotapes..
Rose Mary Woods, the devoted secretary to President Nixon who admitted to inadvertently erasing part of a crucial Watergate tape, has died.
Lead sentence.
Will Ted Kennedy's obituary begin with the death of Mary Jo?
Under the category of Heh heh heh...
Wood's family claimed that fellow residents heard Wood's screaming for an attendent for 18 and a half minutes before she died, but the attendents claimed all they heard was static and clicking noises.
Nixon left office before his term was up and is dead now.
Meanwhile Dan Rather still sits at the anchor desk on CBS and we do not know who forged the documents NOR what the exact involvement of the DNC in their production or promotion was. All we know is that they are fakes that CBS and the Associated Press ran with for a week without any rebuttal as to the authenticity of the documents. They ran with these reports to attempt to unseat a popular president in a close presidential election.
The FEC and the FCC should investigate this abuse of power.
Somehow I don't see this story as being the lead sentence in Dan Rather's obituary.
I-hope-the-me-di-a-is-n't-go-ing-to-trot-out-Bob-Wood-ward-to-com-ment-ate-on-this.
RIP
I... I... I did not know that.
Rose Mary Woods Dead From Nixon
That Woods inadvertently caused the 18 1/2 minute gap was one of those "if you can believe this, you'll believe anything" theories, sort of like the idea that the Rathergate memoes could have been typed in the early 1970s.
Is she the one who managed to keep her foot on the dictapone erase pedal for 15 minutes?
In honour of Mrs. Woods' memory, let us now pause for 18 1/2 minutes of silence.
