WASHINGTON - Sen. Joseph Biden, a senior Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, said Sunday he was leaning against confirmation of Alberto Gonzales, President Bush's choice to be the next attorney general.
Bush's choice of his White House counsel to be the nation's top lawman, "may very well do us more harm internationally because of its relationship with the terror memos," the senator from Delaware said on the ABC News program "This Week."
"My inclination right now is to vote against him," Biden said. He is the third ranking Democrat on the panel.
Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee postponed a vote on Gonzales' nomination after Democrats charged he had evaded their questions about Bush administration policies on the treatment of prisoners captured during U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has been criticized for his role in shaping those policies.

That's the plan but it won't work, the MSM is dead cannot cover her tracks anymore.
"Biden - Baby Killers Hate Mexicans, Too!!"
This guy is in love...you guess with whom? Jake
As soon as Biden says he wants to "secure the borders". Then he can join Hillary in fighting for their votes.
We don't need a link to that site on every thread, please.
That bears repetition.
About the tancrdoites on FR who state that hillary is to the right of the President about immigration on each and every post, even though not one of them can come up with hillary's plan.
So, exactly when did Alberto Gonzales say he opposes gun ownership?
You people have taken to flat-out lying about the man now.
I don't think they can win the election but the 'rat nomination is another story.
Oh, I thought they were already the Hillary Republicans.
It's the best thing that can happen to the GOP is for Hitlery to win it. The worst thing the GOP can do is try to run a RINO against her.
Ahh. There I agree with you. We know it's a blustery show by Madam Hamhocks...but do you disagree with Tancredo's basic premises? (I'm from Colorado, and would like to know your views on the subject of illegals)

Ignore them. The Republicans hold the majority - Biden, Boxer, Kennedy - are all remnants of the past.

Don't underestimate the superficial people in America.
Biden is Kennedy's creation. Need I say more?
Our best response to Hill and Bill might be Laura and George.
OK, how about withdrawing Gonzales, and nominating Roy Moore of Alabama?
I would pay a cover charge to watch the entertainment in the SJC and the lamestream media over THAT nomination.
That explains much. He has the mental slovenliness of someone who was in the hands of an alcoholic craftsman.
