I was stationed at Whidbey Island, Washington in the '80s. Vancouver is thought of as the MORE LIBERAL version of Seattle.

But it's so beautiful. I say we give the lefties there a full 72 hours to get out of town. (They hate Americans anyway....so they should want to flee.) Then we welcome them in as the 51st state. What could we call it? None of those Indian names that are lovely, but no one can pronounce. Better stick with something regional (albeit English) like Hope, Princeton, Stewart, or Hudson.

Oh yes, without the political leftists, the "sexually flexible," enviros, vegans, and God-haters....it would qualify as the most beautiful state in the U.S.

I'm from the Interior of B.C. and we have never sent a Liberal to Ottawa yet. Our area is very Conservative. I have been for Western separation for a long time. Whether we joined the United States or not. Ralph Klien should be the leader of the Western Provinces that want out of Canada which is run by and elected by only two provinces anyway. One of them being Quebec!! I wouldn't take much convincing.
