A group of people from Iceland have taken out a full-page advertisement in The New York Times apologising to Iraqis for the invasion of their country.
More than 4,000 Icelanders paid for the ad, which demands that Iceland be immediately removed from the list of invaders in the so-called coalition of the willing.
Iceland has no military and has contributed only its government's verbal support for the US-led invasion in 2003.
A recent Gallup poll indicates that four out of five Icelanders want their country to remove its support, but the Government has ruled out any policy change.

I guess these people were happy with Saddam torturing and oppressing them then.

They just dont want the Jihadi to infiltrate and ruin their society as we see in many parts of Europe today. they're scared... apparently the "terror" tactics have been working. sad.

If they were really sincere, instead of having a political agenda, they would have run their ad in the Bagdad Times, not the New York Times.

4000 morons who haven't a clue.
Ice finally froze their ability to think.

Not only were the Icelandic people happy to have Saddam torture, maim and kill Iraqis, they probably reveled in the Rwanda genocide, and were ecstatic that Clinton not only did nothing to stop it but placed roadblocks in the way of anyone else stopping it.

It wouldn't be very painful even If they withdrew their "verbal support".

This is Iceland joining the coalition of Cowards.

With a population of 294,300, four-thousand people give them a activist-idiot ratio of 1:75. No worse than here, I'm sure.

I guess these people were happy with Saddam torturing and oppressing them then.
So they are enthusiastic about the "freedom fighters" responding with the
beheading/executions like Nick Berg and Margaret Hassan, I suppose.
To paraphrase Mark Twain, I guess in the view of Icelanders, "nobody got killed"
as long as it's just some Jews and female aid workers getting slaughtered.

Do these morons ever stop and think what Iraqi's want?
They should apologise for pretending to speak on behalf of Iraq.
People this stupid should live in bindage. I hope Iceland is invaded by Saddam'ites and forced to experience what the average Iraqi experienced.

To liberals, socialists, and their ilk.....Iraqis are just poor child-like serfs incapable of making decisions or thinking for themselves. Sort of the way they view minorities here in the US.

I think this is more an apology to the terrorists and to the Baath Party, since the majority of Iraqis are thankful for Saddam's removal. To the majority of Iraqis, this is more of a threat.
