Just found out my niece died the day after her 40th birthday. She was only 12 years younger than me, so when she was growing up we did fun stuff together. She was like a little sister to me. Her mother, my sister, is a breast cancer survivor and is not taking it well.

Thank you all. Sadly I've been estranged from my family for about 12 years. Wendy was such a good kid. With a name like Wendy Joy, she was well named. I know I must call my sister, but am afraid of the emotions that doing so will dredge up. I know that sound selfish.
