David Bauder reviews today's TV coverage, and notes that this was Dan Rather's sixth and final inaugural: Dan "became emotional quickly, his voice breaking as he listened to a patriotic song being played. Also: "With bags under his eyes, Rather appeared subdued and suffered with a few technical glitches: interrupting one speaker for an anticipated entrance by President Bush that didn't come for five minutes, for instance, and appearing angry when he had to abruptly halt one discussion for a commercial break."

Prozac doesn't work for everyone.
but Bourbon does!!!!!!........poor little " fake tears" Blather......off to obscurity now
Rather was so biased he was a disgrace during this inauguration (but then, Rather being a disgrace is nothing new). I was furious, but the only channel I could get in clearly was CBS.
Bye, bye, Blather.
Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!
Waaaaah...!
Did anyone hear Rather blather about the "smoke" shooting out of Penn. Ave during the parade? He seemed amazed that the Prez limo didn't speed up when it encountered the "smoke", as though it was a smoke bomb of sorts.
A miffed Bob Schieffer let him know it was in fact only steam and that the Prez was safe. Again, Rather seemed miffed.
Thank you ! You Freepers who can watch cBS for us and report on their antics deserve some kind of campaign ribbon!
It is a testament to left wing media bias that Blather wasn't shamed out of his job, and banished to the dust bin of history. Oh yes, he's out, but even though we all know it's not on his own terms, it certainly appears that way. Aside from his years of so obvious liberal bias, he knew those TANG memo's were fakes. He knew they weren't real, and make no mistake, it was HIS clout and decision that got that story to air.
You are correct.
