I do not buy into the "all cultures are equally great" garbage. Cultures that murder, allow thief, deny education and impose it's religious believe by force are not to be esteemed, reather they should be condemned.

I can see how you would think that way. I do to from time to time. I do think the vast majority of muslims fit into this violent category. All one need to do read the killeran and watch their actions.

I don't trust any muslims - their holy book the killeran tells them to lie to infidels. I have seen them around where I used to live and they look at us with venom in their eyes. They seem to seethe with hate.

That being said, lumping them all into one type is wrong. There are folks on this forum that know muslims and like them. Only two ways to go here. They are genuinely good folks or they are just playing nice until they build up enough strength to enslave or kill us.
Time will tell.

Thanks for the link. I'm half-Jewish as well. I'm not even sure whether or not I would be considered officially Jewish under Jewish law. As you say there's no other word for it.

Possible, but I doubt it, because if they were lying and the truth eventually came out, as it always does, this would cause an even bigger lynch mob than the one that is already forming.

The police are doing the right thing in being open to all possibilities. It certainly seems possible this family was murdered by Muslims, but there are so many examples of the "obvious" being untrue in criminal cases, particularly where race or religion is involved.

Certainly everything we say here is pure speculation and has nothing to do with the police investigation.

They have a real P.R. problem on their hands, and may just be trying to prevent a riot.

I am not encouraged, however, by the fact that this crime occurred in N.J. The endemic corruption there prevents me from just saying, "Oh, let's let the police complete their investigation." If I had more confidence in the police, I might think differently.

Maybe you are the one who is "sadly misinformed." I'll grant that one can't be half-Christian, but Judaism is not the same thing as Christianity. Whether one is Jewish or not involves racial, cultural and tribal factors as well as religious ones. I have some Jewish relatives who never attend synagogue. But no one says that they are not Jewish. Jews were murdered in the holocaust not for their religion but because of their race. And as I recall persons with even 1/4 Jewish blood were murdered. Under Jewish law a person with a Jewish mother is Jewish. But if a person was not raised in the Jewish faith, but has a Jewish parent, and is often mistaken for a Jew based on their appearance and interests, it seems that the simplest term for this would be half-Jewish.
