Hey, are you in Austin? I just heard on the KLBJ-AM local news break that the flag at the Austin American-Statesman was hung upside-down today. Have you heard anything about that?

I am in Austin, but work out by the lake. I haven't heard about the upside-down flag at the (un) American Statesman, but it wouldn't shock me one bit if that were the case. Talk about a rag of a paper!

My guess would be that a lot of the people who voted that the speech was uninspiring didn't even listen to it.

True, although they at least had the sense to endorse Bush over Kerry. What a juvenile stunt about the flag though. If it were an "accident," the odds are amazing that it would occur on inauguration day. The news reporter said they were waiting on a comment from the Statesman about it.

Hehehe...their endorsement was oh so full of caveats. Still, it must have pained them terribly to have endorsed W over kerry.
