Interesting sighting: a US Secret Service agent wielding a FN P90. Being a relatively new product, it's interesting seeing where it shows up in news photos ... especially in the hands of US military/police. Thought some here might be interested.
Of course, you can't have one.

P90 is an interesting weapon - I remember when the Army was looking into it for the PDW program a passel of years back.

Isn't that a gun designed in Israel? I hear the design is amazingly efficient.

What are it's specs & why is it special? 900 rounds per minute (50 in magazine) capable of penetrating standard helmets and vests.

Nope, it's made in Belgium. FN stands for Fabrique Nationale.

Hi All-
Just sitting in front of the television listening to Denyce Graves sing...
Wow, that is some cool hardware in a bullpup configuration. That officer looks well-prepared given the back-up pistol, fixed blade knife, extra magazines, and who-knows-what communication gear.
Justice Rehnquist is about to administer the oath of office...gotta' run.

Don't do doodly squat to them super-soldiers, sadly. Even an M-60 won't cut it.

Necessary to punch through Jaffa armour.
I always wondered if Jaffa and Imperial Stormtroopers had the same contractor for armour; there have to be some design or production deficiences in both given their uselessness :-)
Death Stars and Goa'uld Motherships seem to have the same pathetic security arrangements given the ease of people wandering around inside them.

Folks
I have good news. You CAN buy one. I was sent a link recently, which I no longer have, which was an advertisement from one of the companies offering a semi auto model for sale.
It has the same size magazine, and is only different in that it is a semi.
The ammo offered is not armor piercing, however. It is still a fast round, hoowever.
I think the price was/is about $1,400 or thereabouts.
They will be available in March or April, as I remember.
