INAUGURATION DAY THANK YOU to DEMOCRATIC VETERANS
1/20/05 | campfollower

Posted on 01/20/2005 8:21:46 AM PST by campfollower

As inaugural festivities get underway in the shadow of the greatest Capitol in the world, in a time of peril to the U.S. and our friends, while our brave soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen are deployed around the world --

I want to say thank you to veterans of the United States Armed Services and their families who usually vote democratic, but saw fit this year to cross over and give President Bush the votes he needed for a decisive victory over his dangerous, traitorous opponent, John Kerry. A man who proved again this past week that his foreign policy tactics are dangerous and demoralizing to our bravest, who refuses to stand down even though he lost BIG, and who's never done ONE thing for the veterans of this great nation in over 30 years of "service."

Thank you DEMOCRAT VETS and families, for bringing the extra votes to our president's base. Thank you for recognizing a fake when you see him, and thank you for putting partisanship aside for your country. God Bless you, and thank you for your service.

Respectfully, The daughter of a Vietnam soldier The wife and sister of two of the Marine Corps' finest Campfollower

Back Atcha AFM!

Everyone I know today is breathing such a profound sigh of relief, even as we remain concerned for the situation of our deployed family and friends.

A good friend deployed in Fallujah learned of the moaning and groaning of democrats about festivities and said they're NUTS. He said that's what they're fighting for, and knowing it's going on keeps morale high and backs straight and proud. Dems simply have NO idea how the majority of military folk think. They choose to focus instead on the few whiners who get all the media coverage.

My son said the same thing. He's happy to be serving his country and President Bush. He was so worried the traitor would get elected.
I am bursting with pride today!! God Bless America!

The best to your Marines, Campfollower. May God keep them in the palm of his hand.

I'm an ugly old Vietnam Marine and the proud father of two Marines who are tending the "family businees" in Iraq.

Semper Fi sir!

I'm the widow of a Force Recon Marine (non-combat related), sister of a former CH-46 pilot, and new bride, yay, of an active duty MGySgt (fortunately stateside).

I'm also an Army brat, and have grown to know and love Vietnam vets this year after our work against Kerry.

As for democrats endangering our country, I think it's a shame most Americans still don't understand that it was the dem crossovers (military types) who gave Bush the edge. John O'Neill was one of them.

There are plenty of loyal Americans who vote Democrat I don't care what anyone says. Unfortunately too many people think of the Democrat Party in terms of leaders of the past like Scoop Jackson, Harry Thruman, and Sam Nunn.

Unfortunately the current crop of Democrat leaders and much of the mainstream party seems to more concerned about the opinions of the Euro-elites and loony-fringe nuts than with the good of America's future.

Oh. And to you and your Master Gunny from this old Gunner...
Congrats to you both.
