So now it is an Oil for Peanuts scam?
---
What if Peanut oil is involved?
I vote for 'useful idiot'.

That is a great book. 'useful idiots'
Sorry, you missed my point. Let all investigations go forward. My last sentence said I was glad someone was pursuing this. My caution was about jumping up and down with glee that, oh goody, so much fun it will be to nail that awful Jimmy Carter, when we do not yet know if we will have to face a much different feeling if a famous Republican has been having such contacts with this guy. Please do not jump to conclusions about me. And please read more carefully. It was all there in my original post.
The question answers itself.
this has irony written all over it.
How great it will be if the people who accused Bush of going into Afghanistan and/or Iraq "for oil" turn out to be connected to the UN corruption.
What a great Inaugural Day present to George Bush!! YIPPEE!
I hope this wipes the smarmy smile off his face. He's a disgrace to the presidency, and to Christians.
the oil-for-food conspiracy -- it is nothing short of that, and RICO ought to apply to the UN -- will be shown to reach into some very hallowed and self-rightous halls, if the truth is ever known. And it will be.
I agree with you with regards to Jimmy and his personal wealth. However, he might have seen it as "a neat idea" that would let him fund some of his global activities while promoting the policy he believed him. It wouldn't be the first time someone made errors in judgment while trying to "do good".
TRUTH...bump.
No offense intended and I did read and comprehend your post. You were not suggesting whitewashing or obstruction. I was/am advocating more aggressive prosecution, regardless of party lines. Again, not that you weren't. Meanwhile, I know there are politicos out there who use such investigations for character assassination...I recall reading about a GOPer in Congress from TX dealing with that right now. So, I agree--suitable caution, not wild witchhunts (although any witchhunt for Hillary by definition is not wild, LOL)
And I have cowboy boots too! So I hope we remain FRiends!
:)
>>>>The first documented contact between Former President Carter and Samir Vincent was in September 1999. Vincent had organized a tour of Iraqi religious leaders to meet with individuals in the United States who might be persuaded to speak out against the sanctions against Iraq. The trip also included discussions of ways to oppose U.S. and U.K. air strikes against Iraqi missile batteries in southern Iraq, which had fired on American and British aircraft engaged in enforcing the southern "No Fly Zone."
The meeting with Carter was one of the highlights of the trip. Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, welcomed the Vincent-organized delegation into their home in Plains, Georgia. <<<<<
I still haven't seen any explanation for the $13 million he recieved from the BCCI banking officials. Remember that scandal. It was the BCCI bank that channeled the Saudi funds to Pakistan to finance the 'Muslim bomb.' BTW, Jesse Jackson and Andrew Young also accepted substancial funds from BCCI.
It sounds like this guy went after whoever he thought would listen. They have interviewed Jack Kemp too. Word is he also approached the late Cardinal O'Connor.
Oh, PLEASE let this be true!
Don't forget about his pardoning Clinton
Carter has the gullible, innocent look and demeanor. However, I am beginning to wonder if he is not a dangerous promoter of communism, globalism or carterism. Can someone check to donations to the Carter Center. Rush always says follow the money trail.
You have to wonder how a guy could become wealthy working for peanuts.
Sounds like ol' Chipper can't find a real job that means anything, so Dad has to VP him to every do nothing foundation he can get taxpayers/donors to set up in his name.
You know what is so wonderful about this? Here we are about to bring to light another mouthpiece of the ultra-liberal left. This mouth-piece has been put forward as the voice of reason...one crying in the wilderness to be heard. Now we can better understand his reasoning. He was getting richer....how sweet it is.
