We are led, by events and common sense, to one conclusion: The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.
America has need of idealism and courage, because we have essential work at home the unfinished work of American freedom. In a world moving toward liberty, we are determined to show the meaning and promise of liberty.

The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. Wrong answer, Gee Dubya.
The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the populace growing a spine and demanding REAL action from our elected officials - not limp-wristed platitudes and a willingness to allow illegal immigrants and a "New World Order" to destroy our freedoms.

Building Fortress America won't save us. That is the point which the speechwriter is trying to make, and one which we knew back in 1941.

No... Fortress America won't save us, but it will reduce the potential avenues of attack.
Until we, as a people, decide to support our own best interests FIRST - we're screwed.

Please tell me you're running for President in 2008. Pretty please??

No wonder liberals hate him. They don't want others to have freedom. They want you ENSLAVED to them so they can play god.

What he means is that when other countries have freedom and value it, it also makes us stronger. Freedom is contagious and addicting.

how many times did we get hit under Clinton? Let's see...
1993, World Trade Center.
1995, Oklahoma City Bombing (I do not believe McVeigh acted alone.)
1998, Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.
2000, U.S.S. Cole.
Four terrorist hits. Two of them on our soil.

Very moving.
If this is indication, tomorrow's speech will be very powerful.
I am extremely grateful we have been blessed with another Four years.

Four terrorist hits. Two of them on our soil. You can't forget that 9/11 was set in motion while Clinton was in office. Atta was here training, etc. The attack took place nine months after the Sinkmaster left.

Like it or not, in a globalized world, to have our own interests first, we have to stay connected to the world.

Nope, so sorry.
I have too many skeletons in my closet... like that doobie I toked up (and inhaled, thank you very much) in college.
I tell you this though: This country is FINISHED (and soon) without massive reforms. From the borders to taxes, from the unlimited term professional political class to tenured, leftist, teachers unions. The list goes on and on.
