President and Laura Bush attended Saluting Those Who Serve today, honoring members of our Armed Forces at an event that helped kick off his second Inauguration, in which, contrary to media reports, he is celebrating the clear mandate he received from the American people on November 2nd. His father and mother, former President George H. W. Bush, and former First Lady, Barbara Bush also attended the event, where President Bush 41 recounted his World War II experiences.
President Bush is working on his Inaugural Address which concentrates on the themes of freedom abroad, and an ownership society at home.
Also today (all day), Condoleezza Rice appeared at her Senate confirmation hearing before the committee that will confirm her as Secretary of State. ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!
the donkey did them in...Lol...good riddance!!!
She's a far left liberal wacko. It is amazing the people in California are stupid enough to return this woman to office for another 6 years.
Yes, good riddance. I have never seen two bigger babies! All that screaming--get some help.
He used his little trip (visiting all of our enemies)to clair everyone is offering help so why are we turning it down. Condie said they are not offering any help.
I was hoping she'd push him off the cliff. I can't believe they think it was a good experience. I'm glad they're off.
Did you see whoever it was trying to compare John McCain's treatment to what happened at AbuGhrab (bad spelling, I know)? Like you can compare five YEARS of brutal torture to taking a picture of someone with panties over their head. The Dims are just horrible. I got the feeling they are trying, in advance, to set the stage for sabatoging anything this administration does, for the next four years.
Isn't that the truth. I'm sooooo disappointed. I have many of the events from the last inauguration taped and was hoping to tape many this year, but the only thing I can find listed on the C-Span website so far are some of the events on the 20th. Maybe Fox will carry part of the Black Tie and Boots Ball - they did last time - Rita Cosby was there (Jim Angle and Brian Wilson attend regularly as I recall, since they're both from Texas).
That was Barbara Boxer who did that. She turned my stomach. She did not question Condie. She made accuations and attacked her.
YOu had a headache, vomiting, AND rabies during the Reagan memorial?!?!?!? :-)
I know I did. And I plan to on Thursday as well!
Doing well, snugs. And you?
I'm planning to be home all day; it's the evening I'm worried about. Son and mr.h will want to watch the big TV, the ONLY TV in the house with a working VCR hooked to it . . . will they show a lot of the balls Thurs. night?
I think cspan will show some of the festivities Thursday night for sure. Maybe Fox, too. VCR's are cheap, maybe you could get another one. Otherwise, maybe just FORCE them to let you have the big TV.
By the way, not to worry. My rabies on Thursday will be the 24-hour variety.
Fine thanks had a good evening and now just winding down before going to bed
Its not the Video machine I am short of it is tapes must buy some tomorrow trouble is not all shops that used to stock them do now as DVD's are becoming more popular but I think Tescos still stock them.
LMAO!!! (yes, I know it's immature of me, but it's still funny!)
Good night all see you tomorrow
God Bless you all and God Bless America
Prayers for the President and Vice President and their families at this special time
Good night all
When I first saw him, I cried like I had never cried in my life.......wracked with sobs. I think it was the release of all the pain of the 13 months my baby was in danger.
Good night, Snugs.
I LOVE this man! He's such a kid, but such a mature man at the same time. VERY rare combination!
