President and Laura Bush attended Saluting Those Who Serve today, honoring members of our Armed Forces at an event that helped kick off his second Inauguration, in which, contrary to media reports, he is celebrating the clear mandate he received from the American people on November 2nd. His father and mother, former President George H. W. Bush, and former First Lady, Barbara Bush also attended the event, where President Bush 41 recounted his World War II experiences.
President Bush is working on his Inaugural Address which concentrates on the themes of freedom abroad, and an ownership society at home.
Also today (all day), Condoleezza Rice appeared at her Senate confirmation hearing before the committee that will confirm her as Secretary of State. ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!
As being someone who only recently been on FR (6 - 7 months) I did not realise he was away that long it must have been a terrible time of stress for you despite how proud you must have been of him.
God bless you and the other mothers and fathers of servicemen
Liberals have not learned a thing from what happen to Daschele. Hopefully the American people will continue to throw these people out of office.
But before he left, I asked how he was doing, and he said, "I have peace like a river!"
I kept that in my heart the whole time..........he was in the center of God's will!
Starting with Barbara Boxer. That woman was despictable today.
That must have been a great comfort to you but still hard
Okay, darn it, I am no where near #10--probably around #250--but I just gotta say, that first picture of our President listening to his father squeezed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Such devotion!--and you just know that Laura, his girls, and his Mom have also seen that look! *sigh* Thanks for the wonderful pictures!
After watching Condie Rice's hearing today I am totally sick of John Kerry AND Barbara Boxer.
I have seen clips of Boxer but what was Kerry's main line of attack?
Its a keeper
I watched it and felt nothing but disgust for the way Condie Rice was treated by the Democrats.
I looked at your Profile page, too, and your son is very nice looking! I pray he gets to stay Stateside--he has done his part and I am sure he was very brave. Thank him for me for keeping us safe!
Certainly. The TV cameras were all there, don't you know.
It was nothing but a hearing to attack Dr. Rice and President Bush. Hardly a question was asked regarding the Sec of State job. It was a disgusing display of behavior on the part of the Democrats. Their only goal was to try to embarrase the President and Condie Rice.
Good evening how are you doing?
If she is it would be the first I have heard of it.
You bet it is--I imagine we will all be using it at one time or another! If he saw it I'll bet he could think of a few people he would like to ZOT! ha-ha
