She is dizzy, almost wobbly. Her head aches, her coughing won't stop, and because she doesn't have enough money she has not filled her four prescriptions nor seen a doctor recently.

But that doesn't stop her.

Soon it will be midnight, and Ipifania Dominguez will be back at work cleaning up blood, bone and fat in the world's largest pork slaughterhouse. She'll be back in the "head room," as she calls it, where meat is cut from pigs' heads.

At least he stuck to his term limit pledge.

LOL Ouch. Hey, he can't leave until every Pedro is locked up or kicked back over the border (once he's got that addition to his home finished of course).

You'd do better to ask the builder what he did with the extra cash since there's no way in hell he passed it onto the homeowner.

You strike me as the type of person who hates to see your boss or his company get a tax cut.

Uh-oh. The thread's slipping into the name-calling and whining, again.

Reckon we can make it to post #450 before this one's pulled? I'm a doubter....

So instead we stay home, locked in our offices, critizing these people on our computers. Meanwhile, they're out there working their butts off, not only supporting themselves here, but sending a lot of cash back to Mexico. Ask me which one of you I would want on my team, on my side doing battle with the other side? It wouldn't be you.

In other words, you'd pick foreigners over Americans. That's great. Maybe you ought to change your screen name to AmericansBeGone to reflect your attitude towards us.

My brother was not cheering the lower cost. He was stating fact. As a matter of fact he sells employee benefits and lost many construction type firms over the last 5-10 years because they went belly up or can no longer afford to offer those benefits because they are now having to compete with cut rate wages. It has cost him more money than what he has saved

And he's so down and out he contracted to build a new house.

Dude you gotta get your talking points in order.

Some of us have to work for a living. We all don't have a job working at the union shop, smoking cigars and leaching off the hard work of others.

Gee that's odd. Aren't you the one who wants to leech off of every taxpayer to line your own pocket ? Aren't you the parasite ?

If it were legal to do so, many companies would get rid of all of their American workers and replace them with cheap imported foreign workers.

In some cases, it IS legal. It's called "outsourcing" and that results in PRChina jobs.

It's also called Labor Arbitrage.

The fact that illegals sometimes commit crimes does not lead to the conclusion that most illegals immigrants commit crimes. Most are just here looking for a job.

100% of all illegal aliens are lawbreakers.

Exactly! And this travesty continues. Walmart in our area in Texas has a lot of mexicans working there some can speak english some cant, our neighbor said that one of them tested positive for TB, that particular Walmart sells FOOD!!

Walmart could care less and never even tested the other employees exposed to it.

The illegals are a breeding ground for disease and crime, get them the heck out of our country!!

All of a sudden there appears to be an epidemic of walking pneumonia where did it come from all of a sudden those walking disease spreaders, the illegals!

Not even remotely. I just happen to know that builders don't give a single damned cent back. Not one.

Especially when they already own the lot and therefore know they're going to build there whether you buy it or someone else does.

This is a good discussion thread..I have yet to see any substance from the OBL crowd..it appears to me their arguments don't hold water and they must resort to name calling and debate tricks...I suspect Presidente Bush's guest worker plan is undergoing some red ink or in the shredder, but I hope everyone here takes time to write Presidente Bush, their Congressmen and the GOP and let them know how they feel.....

It's the problem inherent in the OBL position.

Since there is no basis for it aside from selfish greed and lawlessness, there aren't any good arguments for the OBL crowd to use. It's hard to come up with a good argument for, "Let me destroy your community, your state, your country, and your livelihood so I can get rich." So they are reduced to a totally phony "anti-racism" and yelling "commie".

It's hard to come up with good arguments for sociopathic behavior.

I have read your hyperbole on this thread, accusing all posters here who are anti-illegal of being racist and hate-filled and accusing Americans of being lazy.

Illegal immigration cheerleaders tend to resort to that tactic once you begin to logically and factually counter all of their "illegal immigration is good for the United States" arguments.

Somebody here doesn't know much about tool-and-die work.

Typically, a "tool-and-die" shop makes tools and dies. This is highly precise engineering, drafting, and machining work, and those who DO it have at least a 5-year training period before they obtain a journeyman's status. (BSME=4 years, Journeyman = 5 years, note well.)

SOME "tool-and-die" shops also stamp the metal or mold the plastics with the tools and dies they create.

It has been the sad experience of many tool/die/stamping and tool/die/molding shops in this area (Wisconsin) that when one 'offshores' the stamping work to PRChina, the tools/dies are very quickly copied by a PRChina pirate, who then offers the SAME PARTS to the end customer for 30% of the price the US shop is charging.

I got a three page letter from my Congressman on the issue. He has informed me of various angles that will be brought up to siderail or capsize any plan of amnesty for illegals or the felons who hire them.

The Amnesty thing will have one high hurdle to leap just to get it to a vote.

Because the labor union agenda is contrary to the free market. Why not simply raise the minimum wage to $20 an hour so we all live well? See the ignorance in this theory?

Less than 9% of American workers belong to unions. Aside from government employee unions, the days of the unions having the upper hand in the free market place are long gone.

Dane this is another example of you do not know what you are talking about. I never did mention that he was down and out. He has a vast assortment of white and blue collar clients. He however lost many in the construction industry due to legal companies in that line of work going out of business or not be able to afford extra benefits for their employees due to cut rate labor forces.

It's hard to come up with a good argument for, "Let me destroy your community, your state, your country, and your livelihood so I can get rich."

In reality, that's not even their argument.

Their argument is "Let's destroy your...livelihood, community, etc., etc., SO I CAN BUY CHEAPER."

As they will soon find out, buying cheaper does NOT equal getting rich.
