How does Condi keep her cool with all these idiots?

Easy - in the end she'll be SecState, and they'll still be idiots, and irrelevant idiots at that.

Amazing isn't it that the coequal branch of government, which refuses to allow this nation to produce more of its own energy, demands taxation at a level causing a master/slave relationship with 'government' can accuse of 'trade' deficit.

****Attention All Marylanders**** Paul Sarbannes is still alive.

More than can be said about the Senator from New Joisey (and I don't mean Corzine).

And now we have soft-spoken RINO Linc Chaffee of Rhode Island. The name "Chauncey Gardner" would be appropriate for him, IMHO...

Striking out against protectionism.

Yes, a blatant refusal to defend and protect our sovereign borders.

Rice articulating the role a Sec of State can play when dealing with other countries re their economies and how our own is affected.

Rice notes we are the fastest growing and we have great economic strength.

Sarbanes s l o w l y saying other countries growing and make us more dependent but (thank the Lord) his time is up.

Chaffee up. Welcomes her and asks if her father knew Martin Luther King.

Rice: He did, he was a minister in Birmingham and they all admired Dr. King.

Chaffee says Dr. King is one of his heroes and she states he is one of hers, too.

Question is being answered as the work Powell has left that she'll build on. She notes in the past it has taken years to bring in new personnel. The technology was awful when this administration came in and they hope to continue upgrading throughout. Some areas still had Wangs which are several generations old.

She harks to her Stanford experience in order to reference the plan in this area.

Well paid, management skills, security of personnel abroad. All of these areas have been worked on and will continue.

Hopefully once we get hydrogen fuel sources developed in 20 years, we can put all that to rest. Newt has a good chapter about that in his new book..
