is sarbanes ever going to ask a question ?
Germany's poor economy will prevent that as well as France.
I wonder how much of our tax dollars are wasted on these "visual aids"...
This utta be good(Kerry)..Get Sarbanes off the couch already.
Shouldn't you post this in Breaking News?
FINALLY!!!!
I shudder....reminded of Ron Ziegler's famous Watergate denials that became "inoperative".
There are way too many bloviators in the Senate.
Not to mention their socialist health care systems..
dulcet tones - Good one!
Condi points out that the President has an economic team. Sarbannes links it to US power. Condi trying to be nice to the poor thing.
I can do that.
Sarbanes is even putting himself to sleep. He can't even get a sentence out. LOL
" I think Harold Ford is more impressive than Barack and deserves the attention and press he gets (not to be confused with agreeing or not with him)."
I absolutely agree that Ford is much better. But the Dems have their way of evaluating these men and determining which they put forward. To Dem minds, the two men are both well-spoken and Black, and somebody needs to get out there to counter the good impression Colin and Condi have left on all segments of America. Obama is the chosen, because he has a lock on a large-electoral-midwestern state, whereas Ford is stuck in Tennessee. And neither would get more than lip service from the Dems if it weren't for their fears of competition from the Republicans.
He interrupts Rice's answer. Wants to know if she considers this part of her issue, the economic relationship with Europe.
The good thing about this is I'm getting a LOT of ironing done. I iron one item while watching this. Step over to the computer and check the thread. Onto next iron.
Our country is the healthiest economy in the world and this is a problem for the leftists who would prefer we spend every dime on social programs, bankrupt the country and lose our super power status. Just like Clinton and Albright predicted in the 90's. It's their goal to make it happen.
Jeez.. I go get a cup of coffee and miss history. Kerry shows up for work.
Condi points out a growing China and the effects on the economy. Also points out that other countries markets must be as open to us as we are to theirs. Striking out against protectionism.
How about the Confederation of Western European Islamic States (CWEIS)?
Is Rice being confirmed for Alan Greenspan's job?
Isn't Paul Sarbanes the chair of the Senate Commerce Comittee? Didn't he vote for 5 free trade agreements?
If the U.S. is depending on the kindness of strangers then what are the people in Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia depending on?
