I've always been involved in politics, but never like I have been since Bill Clinton was sworn in.

And it (politics) has gotten progressively worse since then. I've never seen anything like it in my life and I've been involved since 1964.

My pivotal moment was spread out over years but culminated in the Recount. I then realized that democrats were more interested in power than the good of the country. Indeed they would bring it down to maintain power. I think I began to see clearly how very radical they were,,that no institution, no person, no value, no law was sacred to them. They literally care only for themselves and their power. There is not one shred of love of country in them. Everything I have seen since confirms my opinion. We are in the midst of a revolution and it started forty years ago and I just now know it.

That was my take on it as well. I thought he was having trouble keeping the belly laugh from showing on TV. On the other hand, he is my senator and I've a few issues with him, so I could be wrong.

My revulsion to the modern Democrat party peaked when Al Gore led the "pep rally" right after Bubba was impeached. The fact that two articles passed and two didn't meant that at least some Republicans read and thought about the charges, i.e. they didn't vote as a mindless bloc. The Democrat votes never changed.

I love to tell the story, so, while we wait for the circus to reccommence, I was trapped in a liberal law firm after being trapped in liberal academe and I actually believed no one else thought like me and maybe, just maybe, there was something wrong with me. Then one morning, listening to C-Span, since I could no longer abide the network news, they had a segment on favorite websites. FR had been mentioned so they interviewed Jim Robinson. I knew I wasn't alone. If I could, I would insert a fireworks graphic here. 8^)

How can a State that just elected Arnold as their Governor turnaround and re-elect this POS?

When the primary was rolling around, there were good candidates for the Republican challenge, but they were all wiped out by Bill Jones.

Jone was absent from the day he won the primary until the night he conceded to Barbara Boxer. That Boxer didn't get more of the vote, I'm still amazed at. It was a non-campaign in a state that is very media oriented.

Frustrating.

You're exactly right; but they are right, it has ramped up since 2000.

And I, too, have a hard time with TV; I really did right before the elections; the lies were too much for me.

And now I can't stand hearing people like Colmes or Matthews; they are desperate to be relevant again -- and we all know they will do or say whatever it takes to get back their power.

The thing is, I use to think nothing would surprise me; boy, was I wrong.

(And remember when Clinton left office and we all thought we'd be rid of all those fools around him and in the DNC? Could we have possibly been that dumb just four years ago?)

It happened to me when I opened a school text book and read that Reagan's tax cuts mainly benefitted the wealthy. I knew that all people had the opportunity to benefit from the resulting economic boom that lasted until the Clinton Administration mismanaged everything. really, when I sobered up and starting reading the history of this nation, the sacrifices people made, and were willing to make for Freedom and Liberty. Nathan Hale was 23. How many times have we seen footage of the teenager running from the water on the beach of Normandy, dropping when hit. I could go on and on. The least I can do, from them and millions of others is be seriously interested in the politics of their nation.
