When it opened two months ago, Bill Clinton's presidential library was supposed to draw so many visitors that the city of Little Rock would become a tourist mecca.
However early reports claiming that over 100,000 had visited in just the first six weeks have turned out to be bogus.
The National Archives and Records Administration, which operates the facility, tells U.S. News & World Report that only 42,054 paid to enter. The rest were guests of the former president and freebies to VIPs. Despite wall-to-wall television coverage of its opening, and a deluge of favorable press, attendance figures for the $162 million compound are even less than the attendance at the Reagan and Bush 41 libraries immediately after they opened.
"I thought it would be better," a disappointed Clinton told the magazine.

Onward and downward! "Great" turnout, IMO. Bet the Carter liebrary doesn't do much either.
However early reports claiming that over 100,000 had visited in just the first six weeks have turned out to be bogus. Well, imagine that! Would anyone on the left actually inflate the numbers just to make Clintoon look good? Nooooo.
If I'm not mistaken, its a single wide. Looks like it anyway.
How bout the grand opening day where it rained so hard everyone had umbrellas up so no one could see the podium. ONe bad omen after another. Bill, we feel your pain and enjoy every minute of it.
SWEET!
What I would like to know is how many people visited the Bush Library in Houston during the same period. I bet the numbers are higher, because Bush 41 has risen in the public's esteem over the last 12 years.
Don't forget his pet he neglects to keep on a leash raids and trashes the WH and AirForce I upon leaving.
The Clinton Foundation welcomed the 100,000th visitor to the Clinton Presidential Center on Monday, just six weeks after the center opened.
Karen Gosby of DeSoto, Texas, was stunned when television cameras turned on her and she was announced to a packed lobby as the 100,000th visitor to the library and museum.
Guess it depends on the definition of visitor, eh?
"Damn it, Hillary, I thought sure this would bring 'em in."
so....Clinton's entire presidency was not only disappointing...but an embarrassment...and a whole country had to suffer. boo-hoo to to dismal attendance counts.
Yep, and sitting on stacked concrete blocks.
The Clintons will never lose their transient-trailer park image or behavior.
It's your own fault Billy...you should have advertised it as Bill's Bordello and everyone would have come to see it...but to drive all that way to see a library that takes you seriously???....Get real!
Despite impeachment, ex-42 continues to enjoy approval ratings of 157%.
Maybe if they got a liquor license...
Bad attendance can only be attributed to one thing, racism. This must be attendance suppression at its worst. Minorities are given wrong directions, told the museum is closed, that proof of purchase of Colt 45 Malt wont get you in. Looks like another investigation on the way from the NAACP. Oops, sorry, I was just reading Jesse Jackson's mind for a second.
That will be taken care of in due time, as the bums homeless drift back into the area, and take up residence under the "trailer to the 21st century".
Hmm, that is down from 349.945726%!
Even the local FOX affiliate got suckered. Click here. And this howler from the link:
"I don't know why people call it a glorified trailer," Cantrell said. "With all this stainless steel, marble and glass, it's more like a space module. And not many places are lucky enough to have a river like this."
Buddy made off with the silverware, while Socks pried all the 'W''s off the keyboards. Still, they were the best Clintons in the White House.
Wow, someone was pouring the Grape Kool Aid fast and furious at the city council meeting to get someone to believe that fairy tale
They should just go ahead and turn it into a real porn shop to recoup their money
