Our current governor, King Bill Richardson, is a lot closer to Stalin than any one else I can think of. Political retaliation against anyone, including members of his own party, who venture a word against him is his M.O.

GWB is like Columbo: he may not impress in speech and appearance, but underneath he's a sly fox.

I love seeing Brit Hume standing in front of the White House, in his trench coat. Reminds me when he was a reporter for ABC years ago.

I understand that, sl. Cable here isn't too good either. I have a choice of t.v. or 'puter. If both are connected to the line, more likely than not, 'puter goes out, for days. It's ridiculous.

that's discussed, at length, in Sammon's book, Fighting Back , along with the President's concern for the principal, teacher, and students of that school. Quite interesting account.

"Good job!"

HAHAHA! That is one of my favorite things about him. He says it to high school kids and Ariel Sharon! ANYONE who speaks when he is present gets the "Good job!" comment.

In our house the political arguments are about who the better pres is/was: Bush or Reagan! I pick Bush because of the connection I feel. My son feels that connection with Reagan(and he's only 24).
I love our political discussions.

President Bush 41 became a much better man for having worked for Ronald Reagan for eight years, and I don't think we really realized it until he took on Iraq over Kuwait, and not fully until the sinkmeister was in there.

My dad has a tale about playing poker with a Texan Airman in WWII....He frequently calls "W" the "poker player".

Frankly nothing in the e-mail surprises me, especially reading about the kindness shown by our President and First Lady. Wonder what other President broke bread with his security detail.
