But now there's an additional concern. The FBI is reporting that one of their vehicles was stolen in Northwest Washington on Friday. Inside that car was government issued protective gear like a bullet proof vest. But even more disturbing to some is that a submachine gun is now missing. And the Liberals think we'll all be safer when only LEOs have the guns. Cripes.

Hi All-
"...Officials say the incident is embarrassing, but not a security threat..."
That is great news that it is NOT considered a security threat. Does that mean that our legislators will update the laws so that Americans are free to add Heckler & Koch MP5s to our collections?

I mean if the gov't doesn't consider the loss of one of these a major problem then what's the problem of me owning one if I could afford it.

I thought you were talking about Eakers new threat level system....... Alas, I have seen it in action.
There ain't that many levels.
Basically the dogs bark at the door and lots of weapons get pointed that way.
Once, just before Christmas I showed up over there and
TheMom was on the roof hooking up lights and stuff. I spoke with her
for a bit and she then said "just go on in!"
I'm thinking "yeah, right....".
I knocked.

Hi 2AMama-
"...if the government doesn't consider the loss of one of these [H&K MP5] a major problem then what's the problem of me owning one if I could afford it..."
It's funny how the commentary of Big GovernmentTM changes depending upon circumstance. If some regular man or woman was found shooting this type of firearm at a range, words like "arsenal" and "gun nut" would be tossed around by the media in footage showing the arrest of the citizen.

That's odd. I just bought a MP5 for $50 cash tonight in Seattle. Some dude in Pioneer Square said he found it.
