Check out this video of an LST taking a couple of JDAMs from a B-52. The damage is extensive. Download time is short - even on a dial-up like mine.

My point exactly. If China buys attack subs to deter a surface fleet, they now have another problem. Those new subs will be watching LSTs sink off the shore of Taiwan.
