A look at the dark underbelly of recent history, from the mid-1990s to the early part of this decade: one minute speeches by former Blue Dog Congressman, James Traficant. He took on the IRS. Then he was impeached and sent to jail. Felon or Fighter for Freedom? A little of both. And he knew how to make a darn good speech. There are many, many more speeches by former, impeached Congressman Traficant in the South Boston Phoenix 'vaults', which will be steadilly loaded and shared in the future, God willing, if people show an interest.

South Boston Phoenix is loading from later years, and slowly working backward in time. So far, it is still in Stardate, 2001.

FAA MAILS PILOT LICENSES TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES December 19, 2001 Mr. Speaker, while Congress continues to pass airline security measures, pilot licenses are flying to foreign countries faster than bin Laden's been running. Unbelievable, but check this out. My investigation shows the FAA regularly sends pilot licenses in the mail to places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Libya and Pakistan. Now, if that is not enough to drench some fire hydrant, these licenses are being sent to post office boxes, no less. Beam me up. I am asking that the GAO investigate this madness. I yield back the fact that the FAA may have supplied bin Laden with an air force legally certified to attack America.
