We are all sinners. But jerks revel in their sins. Someone translate this into Latin and we'll send it to the DNC for their new motto.
By the way, if we're recommending PJ books, I'd advise Parliament of Whores. It's a scathing look at government, but also a look at the people who empower government: us.

P.J 'O Rourke is our funniest conservative satirist. I'd rather George Bush gave the liberals a one line message and head straight for the parade grounds after he takes the oath of office: "I am George W. Bush." That should be enough for a nation that likes Denny Crane. Who after appropriately enough, loathes liberals who hate President Bush.

Hi Miss Annie,

O'Rourke is sounding more conservative than libertarian in this article.

the Tenth Commandment. "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, . . . nor his ass I'm guessing this last one has been violated too many times to count in a few cities in this country.

American libertarians [that also happen to be Christians, like O'Rourke] are also conservatives, by definition; -- if you consider supporting our Constitution as the main indicator of conservatism.

I'd second that. Parliament of Whores should be a must-read for every skull full of mush in college.

Scrolling down I see that MKM1960 responded, and much more eloquently than I would.
See ... some of us do mature. ;)
