Pelosi: 'Having Admitted Error of His Words, President Must Admit Error of His Ways'

WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on remarks by President Bush in an interview with regional newspapers yesterday in which he said he regretted saying "bring 'em on" in reference to insurgents in Iraq who wanted to attack our troops:

"The President has finally acknowledged that his taunting the Iraqi insurgents by saying 'bring 'em on' has had unintended consequences, likely increasing the dangers faced by our troops in Iraq. Although unintended, the consequences of such remarks were all too predictable.

"It was also predictable that creating a chaotic security situation in Iraq would make the country what it was not before the war -- a 'magnet for terrorists,' a result recently confirmed by the National Intelligence Council.

"More than two years ago, senior military experts such as General Eric Shinseki warned against sending too small a force to Iraq, in part because they knew that any security vacuum created by the fall of Saddam Hussein would be filled by elements united only by the desire to kill Americans. One of the many mistakes of the Iraq war is that the President did not have a plan for preventing Iraq from becoming a hotbed for terrorists. We will be paying the price of that mistake for years to come.

"Having admitted the error of his words, the President must admit the error of his ways."

But the council's report suggests the conflict has also helped terrorists by creating a haven for them in the chaos of war.

and experts think that as many as 100 a day are getting killed or arrested...some days more...

The President says what he believes regardless of what people think of him. It is a strength, not a weakness.

Pelosi assumes this is a weakness she can manipulate against the President to bring about her favored policies. Some of his Supporters assume this is a weakness that can be used against him by people like Pelosi. His detractors from both aisles state this is a weakness and use it to further justify their unsatiated rants against him.

All are wrong.

The President is a man of Strong Faith that will say what he believes no matter any consequence. It is a trait I have come to admire. He does what he believes is right, and he says what he believes is right. What more can be asked of any man or any woman but to be honest about their stance.

Yeah it will, but I can guarantee you that she has heard the word preached and chose to ignore it.

Isn't she running on just two and half cylinders.
She is so screwed up. But, I hope they keep her around.
She has to be worth at least Florida and Ohio
and maybe more?

haha!

I saw early posters on this thread mentioning all of Pelosi's support of abortions and needing to mend HER ways! Yeah!

Nancy, don't you just WISH YOUR parents had exercised a pro-CHOICE abortion on YOU, huh???

I got so tired of Pelosi's hateful remarks that I did a little research on her a while back.

Scary stuff, folks, imho ...

Exposed: Pelosi's Socialist Ties

Pelosi leader of 'Progressive Caucus'

Click here or on the pic to hear
the Socialist Pelosi Pig squeal !

From those links, these excerpts ...

"DSA/USA, the 'Democratic Socialists of America' are the U.S. arm of the Socialist International. They share the symbol of the fist holding the rose, and they share the tasks to be accomplished — in our case, an altogether different America ...

"Some time ago — the date is missing from the descriptions — 58 members of the U.S. House of Representatives formed a subdivision of the Democratic Socialists of America and called it the Progressive Caucus. Their statement of purpose, as well as their membership list, formed an integral part of the dsausa Web site (www.dsausa.org ). The membership list appeared on the screen with the continuous background of the fist holding the rose, should anyone have missed the connection with the Socialist International."

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., the likely [she is now] new minority leader in the House of Representatives, serves on the executive committee of the socialist-leaning Progressive Caucus, a bloc of about 60 votes or nearly 30 percent of the minority vote in the lower chamber.

The Democratic Socialists of America's chief organizing goal is to work within the Democratic Party and remove the stigma attached to "socialism" in the eyes of most Americans.

"Stress our Democratic Party strategy and electoral work," explains an organizing document of the DSA. "The Democratic Party is something the public understands, and association with it takes the edge off. Stressing our Democratic Party work will establish some distance from the radical subculture and help integrate you to the milieu of the young liberals."

please tell me there is ONE other military expert than General Shineski !!! I am sooooooooooo sick of the Dems endlessly bringing up ONE person whose opinion would validate their claims.

Can Ms. Pelosi assure us that had Bush NOT said "bring 'em on" that fewer soldiers would have died? fewer people beheaded? Did his words really bring that on ?

"You are making a big deal out of a big nothing and you're not doing any of us any favors with your little temper tantrum."

Spare me. Bush must relearn that you never give your opponents an opening by backpedaling or being mealy mouthed. If he really thought his "dead or alive" statement was regrettable for the uproar it caused, he should have said so 3 years ago. He's just pandering now, kinda like poppa Bush's "kinder, gentler" BS.

President Bush is not some recalcitrant child who misbehaved so spare me your inappropriate "Bush must relearn".

I heard the clip of what he said and if you don't think they already twist anything he says anyway, your not listening. By your standard he should never say anything.
