While I'm philosophically a strong believer as I think you know . . .
I think that explanation of ET's AND UFO's as the total and only explanation is overly tidy and not adequate.
I believe that eventually, the total reality will slice across all the tidy little explanations.
For one, there are far too many tangible HARD OBJECT ship stuff in the literature to construe absolutely all the drivers AND ALL THE SHIPS as totally demonic or demonic materializations.
You know I'm not arguing about which side of good/evil the ET's seem to be wholesale on, currently. Though I do believe there angelic forces on the side of God which MAY appear in such contraptions, I don't believe they have much at all, yet.
And, I don't believe they 'need' them per se. They may elect to use them for whatever reasons but I don't think they 'need' them. I beleive that God speaking forth whatever can cause distant sub atomic particles and everything larger to hop-to according to His Will without any other 'external' operation effecting such transmission of His Will or effecting the actions.
At the time God decides we are ready to meet other beings of his creation, we will. We are not sophisticated enough in my view. Not as a group. Individually, yes.

I understand....But I subscribe to the notion that if the power to deceive in the physical world is real, why would there be limitations? IOW, wouldn't the Evil One be capable of giving the appearance of explainable material attributes?

We really have to be careful about whom we regard as "angels." When they have appeared biblically, they've come as "ministering spirits" (Hebrews 1:14)

No doubt, God can command the planets and stars to jump at a snap of His finger. THIS world has been given to the deceptive powers and trickery of the Evil One -- especially during his 'Last Days.' And he is beginning to use every means at his disposal.
