Radical Islamic terrorists will continue to attack the United States and the world in the coming two decades and are likely to obtain and use biological weapons, according to a new intelligence report made public yesterday.
The National Intelligence Council (NIC) report, based on more than 1,000 interviews with U.S. and foreign specialists, said extremist Muslims pose the greatest danger of terror attack because their "religious zeal" has pushed them to conduct mass casualty attacks."The most worrisome trend has been an intensified search by some terrorist groups to obtain weapons of mass destruction," the report said. "Our greatest concern is that these groups might acquire biological agents or less likely, a nuclear device, either of which could cause mass casualties."
The report, "Mapping the Global Future," projects future threats and trends to 2020, and concludes that globalization is creating a new era of world insecurity.

Terrorists will continue to use car bombs as "asymmetric weapons" but extremists also are expected to step up their use of higher-technology weapons, including advanced explosives and unmanned aerial vehicles.
As for targets, the report stated that the United States and its interests abroad will remain "prime terrorist targets," with other terrorist attacks aimed at Middle Eastern regimes and against Western Europe.

Well, golly. Sugar's sweet, water's wet and the Pope's Catholic.
"Attacks by islamists projected to continue"
"Deaths of islamists projected to increase"
I projuect the ultimate extinction of "the Islamists". Think Carthage.
Mercy! Next thing you know, they'll tell us that rain is wet, sugar is sweet, and Ted Kennedy is a lying drunk Liberal!
In other news, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. They won't quit until someone is dead. I hope it's not us...
Duh!
Criminy!
I swear, Eagle, sometimes I feel like I've been exiled on Planet Stupid. How about you?
Boy, must have been a real nail-biter putting that one in the report.

Does this guy think he is telling us something we don't know? Real news would have been on the order that they had decided not to attack anyone ever again and they were going to live peacefull with all infidels from now on and they are thinking about becoming Buddists. Not that this will ever happen but at least it would be something we don't already know. They can keep on attacking and we can keep on killing them.
These whackos don't have any other reason to get out of bed in the morning but to hate the US. No meaningful jobs, self esteem, education. They're stuck in the Dark Ages and told by their mullahs that it's our fault. We're trying to bring them into the modern world and their senses, but so far it's a tough road to hoe.
Sure, the Koran provides ample 'justification' for jihad as a war of global conquest, but Islam has taken this seriously in fits and starts. Their false prophet and the first few Caliphs took it seriously, but then the later Caliphate got pragmatic (St. John of Damascus, who wrote the first Christian critique of Islam was the equivalent of Lord Chamberlain to one of the Caliphs, and only got trouble due to court politics, not his criticism of their religion). The Moguls conquored India, but eventually decided to accord Hindus, who really are idolaters, the status of dhimmis (which the Koran reserves for 'infidel' monotheists). The Turks renewed a serious attempt to conquor Europe for the false creed, but you might have noticed things have been fairly quiet since the last seige of Vienna was turned back.
The question is when this round of jihadism will die out (if they don't overplay their hand and oblige us to hand Islam a defeat on the magnitude of that given politicized Shinto in 1945).
