Pro-Life IS Pro-Capitol punishment.
W/O wearing my fingers down typing in the relevant scripture verses - God considers human life (made in HIS image, with His imprint) to be SO precious that He calls for the penalty of death to anyone who willfully and premeditatedly takes the life of an innocent person, and He ordains the political state to act in His behalf to execute that judgement.

OK thank you for your reply of substance. So...this does make sense in a strict Old Testament reading of the Bible...however in light of the New Testament things change. I don't think anybody can honestly say that Jesus (himself a victim of it) would be in charge of the Death Penalty. Quite to the contrary if Jesus were with us today he would be on the front lines of protests AGAINST the death penalty. To this extent Sister Prejean is trully representing the intentions of Jesus by offering unconditional love and forgiveness to all, even those guilty of the worst crimes.
